RE: Searcy & Annie Hutchinson
I know what you mean. Somehow I just find stuff on Ancestry. I do different searches and watch for variations. But there are times I can't find anything.

I don't know much more, but I will see what Jeannie says. I do see where I need to make an edit in Grandma's files. Back when she did her work she didn't have the internet like we do. Lots of correspondence with people, along with what she knew. Tougher times.

My inquisitiveness has taken hold. Went to Ancestry and found death of Feb 17, 1973, and last residence as Jacksonville, FL. May come up with something with that info. Marvin and Jeannie live there.

Thanks for the transfers.

All I have found for Leo so far is that his name was Henry Leo and he was born 11-21-1909 and died 2-1974. Grandma was pretty private and I discovered things in her papers after she died. If I find more, I will let you know. Thanks for your work on this.

Leo's son, George, told me he committed suicide, but didn't give me more info. I have talked with Marvin and Jeannie but never asked. Marvin is George's brother. Next time I am in contact with Jeannie, I will ask her. I will also look in Grandma's genealogy stuff to see if it's in there. If you don't mind,I would like to have those. I hope to get back to working on family memorials soon.

Thanks, MHCFTL

I sent the message that you will need to call the office and request burial location. Their number is 210-432-2364. They charge volunteers $$ for this information. Repost your request with location and a volunteer will claim the request.

I completed your photo requests for Samuel, Willie and Milo Webster. Next to Samuel is his wife? Elfie Webster, however, there is a find a grave memorial for Elfie at San Jose Burial Park, but apparently no headstone there. The death certificate shows San Jose, but there is the headstone with a beginning and end date at Sunset. One of them is wrong. Was she moved; is the one at Sunset just a memorial?.....I don't know. I suggest calling Sunset and San Jose and determining which one actually has her. I will send the close up of her tag on the headstone on your personal account because I do not know if you can attach a file to the public message board. Use it as you will.

RE: Family connections
Diana, SO glad to meet you! I knew you were Leroy's granddau. when I saw the information you posted, and was glad to see you were maintaining my parents' grave. Give your grandma a hug from me. I so enjoyed their visit to our home some years ago, and they inspired me to do a bit more research on the Paul's. Since then, I was given a large oval framed photo of Martha. I am so proud to have it, but unfortunately it had probably been in someone's attic where it was slightly water-stained.

But back to the correction. Thanks a million. That mistake on the engraved stone was soooo unfortunate! But I would like the corrections to be explained or people will think it's a mistake on the find-a-grave entry.

My computer skills are not great and I am intimidated by trying to make changes myself. Could you please explain that the engraving on the stone was an error, and the birth YEARS should be REVERSED. (My father was actually 8 mos. younger than my mother.) Her date needs to be changed, also, to b. 1892 (actually, she was born Nov. 30, 1892 & died 27 Dec. 1974. And my father was born July 13, 1893 and died Aug.1, 1971.) Can you help me on this? I'm not sure the person who maintains her site is still active. Don't understand why there are two people doing the same stone--but there are lots of rules for find a grave I don't understand.

About Jacob Paul-- Yes, I'm pretty sure his stone is in Arcadia and I think I have a pict. of it, taken some years ago. I'll try to find it and send it to you if at all possible.

Again, so glad you 'hollered' at me, and SO glad to hear about grandma, and thanks for your help.

RE: William Hugh Parsons
that is some terrific work that you have done. I suspected that there were more Parsons' graves in the Uvalde cemetery and you have found them, entered them into FindaGrave and photographed them!

Wow!

I'm distantly related -- I descend from a brother of William Hugh Parsons (Robert is my great grandfather, see 129888116)

Thanks again!
