Thanks so much for the photo of the headstone of Kathryn Bernstein! I really appreciate your efforts! I also saw that she had a son attached to her headstone, but he does not have a memorial. Thanks again.

Did you ever hear back from Cait O'Shea? I lived in Bay Shore for over 20 years, and Oakwood is the only cemetery I know of.

Oh look, a chicken!
RE: Frank Junnelli
Hi! I really don't know much more about Frank. I've tried to research more but never found much out, either. He was handicapped, and it was hard to get a lot of clear info out of him at the best of times. I wish I could help you more :(

Jobin Assenheimer
Hello Cindi,

Thank you so very much for the photo; however, I am a little confused. I have never heard the name *Jobin*; my ancestor (g grandfather was Julius). Was this the only Assenheimer at Coram? Sorry I did not have a plot to go on. Any advice is surely appreciated.

Thank you again,
Pamela

I really appreciate you doing this for me. The last time I was there was for the burial, so I never got to see the tombstone.

RE: Rene Leon Bertin
Thanks for all the info. I guess I'll call & tell them that I'm related to "Marie" & see what they say. My big problem is that I don't know when or where Lily died.

I thought the same thing about Louis. I don't know if he is related. If I have the right Rene Bertin he had a brother named Frank, but maybe Frank's middle name was Louis. :)

I know what you mean about finding your great grandmother. Every time I find one of my relatives it's like getting a Christmas present.

Thanks again for your help,
Donna

Rene Leon Bertin
Hi,

Thank you so much for the wonderful photos & for taking the time to help me.

I am related to his wife & was hoping there would be some info on the headstone about her. Oh well.

My problem is that her name wasn't Marie!! All of his info lines up, but my relative was Lillian Marvina 'Papps' Bertin. I guess she could have gone by Marie but, in all the records I have of her she went by Lily. Even their marriage records have her as Lily & unfortunately I have been able to find NOTHING on her death. So I don't know if that is her or if he had 2 wives.

By chance did the cemetery office have any other info on Marie Bertin besides her interment date that could help me figure this out?

Thank you again for your help,
Donna

RE: Searles Family
Thanks so much for letting me know about the missing headstone for Austin & Anna. I am surprised, as the family is quite large, but as a fellow FG volunteer, I know it is always disappointing to find graves unmarked.

Gilbert Searles is one of Austin & Anna's children; Marie, of course, is Gilbert's wife.

I have been concentrating on my Searles line this summer, hoping to get most of them identified and connected on FG. My g-grandfather was Joseph Searles, Austin's brother.

Thanks again! I appreciate the work you do to fulfill photo requests. :)
