RE: Laura Tuckerman
Cool! Not two seconds ago I put in John Stevens and wondered about the person on the stone with him: Joseph Peter.

Original message:
Laura Tuckerman
I don't think Matilda Tuckerman is Laura's child as Warren Tuckerman, Laura's husband, passed away in 1899. The children I have for Laura and Warren are: George Edgarton (1894-1963), Margaret (1898-?), Laura (1896-?), Beatrice P (1891-?) and Elsie (1895-1924). George married a woman named Irene, Laura the younger married John Stevens, Beatrice married Erwin Weiss, and Elsie married David Stevens. There are some Tuckermans buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery including Laura's husband Warren.

RE: Johann Dietrich
Check out my messages. The original creator of that Johann Memorial left me a message regarding the variations in spellings of Dietrich and Friederich as well (very interesting).

Also, she changed the name to what the marker says (and what I posted to the memorial) and I deleted the memorial that I had created.

Catherine's marker does say Dietrich (the top is quite worn as well as some of the letters on this marker but the inscription says:

"OUR MOTHER
CATHERINE
DIETRICH
1834-1912"

"OUR MOTHER" is quite worn down.
"CATHERINE" the letters "H" and "N" are worn
"DIETRICH" both "I's" are worn but the second "I" is probably the most worn out. The "D" is starting to become worn. The "T" is also starting to become worn as well.
"1834-1912" There is a build up of lichen in and around the numbers which actually helps one see the numbers better but if not cleaned, in time they will erode and break down the materials that this marker is made of.

To answer your question, John's and Catherine's last name are not spelled the same. They are different spellings which was common in those days it seems.

I think that is awesome that Catherine and John are your 4x Great Grandparents! I'm glad to have gotten some images for you, too!

I went to the Cemetery again today and the sun was in and out today hiding behind clouds then popping out and casting the sunshine. I waited until the sun went behind the clouds before taking the images of John's and Catherine's markers. John's you can see well but Catherine's marker is quite worn but one can see a little better (as to why I gave details about the condition of Catherine's marker).

I will let you know when I post them, too which will be today, promise (GOD willing, lol).

RE: Johann Dietrich
I added the photo, the name has been changed and I deleted the memorial I created. If I am ever at the cemetery on an overcast day, I will try and get another photo of the 2 markers to see I can get the information to show up better. Cheers!

RE: Johann Dietrich
There are two memorials (one says Johann Klaus, which is where you made the photo request and the other I created a memorial with the name John Dieterich as that is what it says on the marker). I will place it in the name that it says on the marker.

Johann Dietrich
Hello there. I took a photo of Catherine's memorial and have added them (I took 2 images and added 2 to the memorial). I see you have requested Johann's as well but there is a John "C" or "G" Dieterich right next to Catherine's marker. I wasn't sure if that was the one you were searching for. I thought I'd let you know.

RE: Fairview Cemetery
I am currently residing in Florida and can no longer visit Pennsylvania cemeteries as often as I wish. However, you might try this number for the Kecksburg Church of God which is only about 2 or 3 miles from Fairview Cemetery. They may know who to contact. Hope this is still a good number!!

I will be glad to transfer this memorial to you. You can add the husbands to the bio. The current bio is available online, where you can read more about the parishioners of St. Aloysius. It is quite interesting, actually.

I found nothing in the cemetery that fit the description of what her grave looked like, so there is still an outside chance that she was moved to another location. The memorial was created based on the booklet mentioned above.

RE: Transfer requests
I transferred the memorials to you. A note for future transfers. It is easier to transfer if you request through the edit function on each of the memorials as I had to look up who to transfer them to. when you do it through the edit I don't have to look anything up I can just transfer them.

RE: Memorial update
Just went to FAQ and it seems that a stewart can be named to handle your memorials. Apparently Jackie did not do this. I will try to reach her husband and see if he can rectify the problem.
Also says if you email find a grave with your relationship they will transfer them to you. Hope this helps you.

Dear Melinie

I see you sent a message to Jackie Boyd for an update to Ed Austin. I hate to inform you, but Jackie Died. I have no idea how to go about transferring that info to you. Jackie was in my class in school. I have often wondered what would happen to the memorials I have put on find a grave when I am no longer around. If you find out how to do it let me know. Meantime I am going to contact find a grave.
