The ONLY information I declined was the information that had no change yesterday so I don't know what happened. I am sorry if this upset you. You did not need to leave that kind of a message. Sometimes it is Find A Grave's fault not the person who has the memorial's so please do not come of so harsh next time. I have accepted your information.

I very seldom if EVER decline information because I feel people sending it know more than I do. What I declined and the message I left in the reason box was there was no info to add, if you would have taken the time to read it. Your edit has now been processed. Find A Grave is not perfect, you have 12 memorials, and have been here for 4 years so you do not know all the problems one encounters at this site.

Please, from now on, contact the person with a much more pleasant message and find out first what happened before going off. Next time I will Ignore you. I am easy to get along with and go out of my way to make sure edits and corrections are done the way people want them. Your loved ones are just as important as my loved ones are.

I am related to William Pitts. It appears that you added information about William's birth. I am wondering if you can tell me where you got that information. He is my 3gg-father and I can't find any birth information, or at least nothing concrete. I appreciate any information you can give. Thanks.

Please remove the information you put in the flower spot. It is against Find A Grave rules to use flowers for information. I sent an edit the the person who controls that memorial to link him to his parents. Thanks Penny

Hi There,

I accepted your edit to change her maiden name to Wilkins, but have removed the capitalization of all the letters. You should refer to the Find A Grave naming conventions in the FAQs, they specifically state names should be upper and lower case, not all caps and not all lower case.

RE: Myrtle Lawton vs Nancy Hawkins
I have asked to have the memorials merged, so your comments under the pics and the pics themselves won't be lost. Especially if someone else comes along looking for information.

I may contact the relative, but I don't question the marriages. I just messed up. My mom had the information, I just missed one of last names to try when I was looking for her before I added her. That's what I get for trying to do it without her checking me! :)

Thanks for trying! I may ask Find A Grave to merge the memorials so your photos will not get lost. If I copy them, you will lose credit for taking them. Thanks again!

Nancy Myrtle Kerr Hawkins in Lone Fir Cemetery

I just saw the pics you added for Nancy's memorial #63930877...back in 2012 - better late than never??? ha! I didn't realize I had created a duplicate. Would you be able to move your pictures to Myrtle Lawton #62353308 before I delete the duplicate I made?

Hope that makes sense.

Thank you!

Frankie Wilkins / Coultas
Hi There,

I see the family together in the 1930 census but the California Death Index, the cemetery website and the marker all show her maiden name. Not sure if they had a really bad breakup or what, and I am more than happy to link her to Frank Coultas, but if she or her family felt that strongly about her being buried under her maiden name and not her married name, I feel I should respect their wishes on the memorial.

thanks for the wonderful info :) can you tell me where the photo came from, just so someone doesn't yell at me about it, and did you run across her husband's name? I looked for it for some time.

Thank you so very much for the great information and photo added to both my cousin's memorial (the fantastic plane from 1908!) and the information regarding his dear wife, Mabel (Goss) Burkhart. I have just been made aware of a glaring error that I've needed to amend on his mother's memorial, am just needing to verify it, then will correct it, and that brought me to her son's memorial. He was their only child, I believe, will be checking that also. Thank Heavens for the release of the old censuses! I have been learning so many great things about my relatives thru Find A Grave and my family tree, am always anxious to learn more.

Woodlawn Cem Photo Request
Hi. I am a Find A Grave volunteer and would be happy to take your requested tombstone photo(s) at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana, Illinois. The problem is, the cemetery cannot release burial information to a volunteer. It involves the privacy act. Check the front page of the cemetery memorial to see their policy. If you can include the burial location, section, block, etc., then volunteers can get those photos for you.

You are not the first person to confuse her husband Philip Goss with his cousin Captain Philip Goss (including myself). In fact the confused trees are all over the internet. This Philip was the son of John Goss. His cousin Captain Philip Goss son of Philip Goss Jr. and was the person whom married Keziah Cooley. They are not the same person. I was confused myself for awhile and received help from the Mayflower Society and NEGHS so I'm certain they are correct.

Thank you so much for the wonderful photos of Nancy's grave. We have just returned from a photo-taking trip to the midwest, so I can greatly appreciate the time and effort it takes to take and post these photos. We are grateful for your kindness!

PS. Both egil & his daughter are buried next to each other and just under Albert & Minnie Goss grave.

Also I took all the photo's of Goss & Hanssen markers... I will post them and Email you a copy...
