Thank you for attaching the photo of Nathaniel's tombstone to this memorial page. Apparently, there are two memorials for him. I just found an earlier version 87988166 and now this one, 149414338. Different birth years are listed which is why I did not see both. Your time and efforts are still very appreciated. And once again.... thank you so much for helping another.

Thank you a million times over for finding and attaching the photos to both David and Sarah's memorial pages. The photos are very clear in spite of the deteriorating stone. Thank you!!

Thanks for all the CW soldier grave photos. I had no idea you had so many. I do not have any additional information on James Carter, Memorial #141701834, other than what I found on Find A Grave. I double checked my ETHC resource to see if I coud turn up a request for a gov't stone, but did not find one. As you probably know lots of those records were lost in a fire long ago, so he still could have a VA stone. Sorry I can't tell you anything else.

You could be right. I haven't done any research really about the family.

I'm confused about your pic on Find A Grave Memorial# 100399113. Do you disagree on the name or was this an "oops"?

I don't have GPS coordinates, I didn't take any because my phone is from the stone age and doesn't do all that fancy stuff LOL Good thing that it isn't hard to find. Take the left branch on Martins Creek and yep, drive to the end. There is a gate on the left side of the road.(I posted a pick of it). Hike past the gate till after the road curves to the left and the cemetery is on the left side of the road. You will see 4-wheeler tracks going up the bank to it. I hope that you find some headstones that I missed, good luck.

Thanks for those photos of the stones for the three CW soldiers in Gray Community cemetery. Your help with the "proof of burial" photos for the CW soldiers has made a huge difference.

|Jan Morris Makemson||Jesse Hurt grave (Hurdt)|
I was so thrilled to find the info you posted on my GGgrandfather, Jesse C Hurt. (some of his children spelled it with the "d", some didn't. My line didn't). I wonder where you were able to document his wife's name as Johnston. I found a marriage license for them in Burke County with Johnston, but on their youngest daughter's death certificate in California (Mary, known as Mollie), her mother's maiden name is listed as Oday or O'Day. So I am looking for additional documentation on the Johnston surname. Also, I have no clue as to who her father was. So any additional info you might have would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the help. I wonder how you got those records. I ordered what was supposed to be all of his military records about 20 years ago, and didn't get that one for the marker with the death date.

During some research today I came across some D.C. for some more people in the cemetery so I added them. Might want to take a look when you get time.
