Just for your info, I found three Steele graves here. They are Bessie and "Infant boy" in Cedar Lawn (but not buried together) and John J. Steele across the street in Memorial Park. I created memorials for them with the only information I had.

I added some other Moss memorials that are in Walnut Hill and all in Ridgewood are listed us as far as about 2008 - I don't know more current than that. However, there are more in Cedar Lawn and Memorial Park that do not yet appear in findagrave. These four cemeteries are located together and are owned by the same people, so their Burial Book at the library lists all four cemeteries. There is another Moss family buried in St. Joseph Cemetery which is also adjacent and owned by the Church. I know that family and they aren't related to the ones you are looking at as far as I know. I mention this information just in case you are looking for more members of the Moss family.

Records show Lyla is buried across the street in Walnut Hill Cemetery. It also shows she died 3 October 1945 and was buried on the 5th of October. I created a memorial for her - #158537648. The record shows this is an unmarked grave but it is worth checking as I have found some of these that were listed as unmarked and later had markers placed but records were not updated.

|CPOBacon||Newmansville Cemetery Photo Requests|
I spent the afternoon today out at the Newmansville Cemetery. Sorry I wasn't able to fulfill all your requests. There are many markers that have been damaged and worn beyond recognition and some that are partially buried which leads me to believe there are many buried there. I spoke with the lady that runs the bait shop there, the only business and one of only a handful of residents there. Once upon a time that was a thriving community, but as many of our rural towns have done, there isn't much of it left anymore. I wish I could have been of more help to you as I know how important it is to some of us researching our roots. Darrel

|C.C.Diamond||ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest|
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

|Jerry D||People responding to request|
What you will find with a "lot" of the Find a Grave people is, they are only interested in the numbers and not the quality or responding to request. It is very saddening they feel that a number makes them or breaks them.
I feel for you but like the other person said, if you send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org they will eventually update the memorial and be sure to include the persons ID number that refuses your request. once they get enough complaints about someone, they will remove them as a contributor, I would think. It only hurts F.A.G. when people act like that.
Good luck and be persistent!!! you know, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so to speak.
What Archer family are you connected to? My great aunt married an Archer in Stoutland, Camden, Missouri.
Have a safe and happy Independence Day!

|The Pealers||RE: transfers|
Hi Karla -
I sympathize with your problem. I also have someone who manages the memorials for several of my direct ancestors who does not acknowledge my request. My problem is that they are far enough back that Find A Grave won't transfer them to me. So I'm stuck. Find a Grave's policy is that people are only "obligated" to transfer if the memorial is for someone that you are immediately related to (back only to your great grandparents) and they are not related to as well. I have also tried to have the member that I referred to make corrections for me, with no success there either. I have sent emails to Find a Grave at email@example.com and asked them to make the corrections. It has sometimes taken more than a month, but it does get corrected.
My suggestion to you is to try to contact Find a Grave at the email address listed above. Be sure to state how you are related. When I asked them to make corrections to my great great grandparents, I asked if they would transfer it to me because the member wasn't responding. Unfortunately, they made the changes but did not transfer it to me. I wish you luck on your endeavor. Find a Grave is a wonderful sight, but it only works as well as the members make it work.

About the only thing you can do is contact the Admins at Find A Grave. Sometimes they respond fairly quickly, other times not. Read through the FAQ's
on how to contact Find A Grave directly.
Other than that, not much you can do.
