I was questioning the three wives. The three wives would have been having children at the same time. He must have been a real stud? Do you have any documentaion? Susannah claimed his pension and I did find a marriage record for Amy.

Mary Clarkson Turek
Madison Park Cemetery
Hi David,
I just wanted to let you know that the article on Mark Bigler's page is correct. The graves in Madison Park Cemetery were moved. (Those that could be) No one seems to know where the records are regarding that move. The graves that could not be moved the headstones were taken down and laid flat in the ground and cover up. They then made a park out of the cemetery. I am sorry that there is no way for me to get the information for your family member.

Best Regards

mary Turek

I'm not sure if you received my messages through the Edit tab (sometimes they go into a junk folder) but you have created a couple of duplicates in the Williams Cemetery located in New Martinsville, WV. Thanks.

I added the links and would be happy to transfer the memorial to you. I will have to do that later this afternoon or evening when I have time to figure it out. I have done it before and I think it wasn't hard, but I have to leave for work right now. By the way, I had been looking for her parents and had seen that a Doctor Benjamin McIntire had signed some death records at the State Hospital in Spencer and other signs of him working in the area, but I hadn't seen any sign of the family on the censuses (as I recall), so I wasn't sure if they were Pauline's parents or not or how she came to be buried in Mount Olive Cemetery. Do you know why she is buried there? Were they living there at the time?

David, Sorry, but Ancestry won't let me copy the page. I tried to forward the file which is apparently not allowed so tried to copy it and send in regular mail be it won't print. Most libraries subscribe to Ancestry, you could access the file there and find what you want. Sorry! Claudia

Arthur Grimes Jr.
Suggest that Jr. be added to his name.

Arthur Sr. married twice: Arthur Jr.'s mother and Jane Grimes was Peggy Waugh. He is the brother of Jane Grimes Bowyer (Boyer) 107356722 and the first cousin of Leonard's second wife Catherine 107357509.

Jane is my great (2) grandmother.

I have found not burial for any one but Jane and Catherine along with yours on Arthur Jr.

I have entered Jane and Catherine into findagrave.com and their bios of parents and grandparents hoping someone will see them and share info as you have done.

I hope to find a reading of Mt Zion Church Cemetery, Frost, Pocahontas County, WV where they are possibly buried. Jane and Catherine are the only ones I know for sure and they are in unmarked graves.

Thank you so much, and I definitely will! I noticed there are 2 other Ogden memorials I made that are children of Mary's. Would you like me to transfer them too?

transfer request
I have no problem transferring your great grandmother's memorial. (I can't transfer your great grandfather's because I didn't make the memorial.) I just ask for your patience until Cheryl and I finish her family memorials and pictures, etc. Once we're finished, I will do it, if that's okay.

In the meantime, I have already added information and links to Mary Ogden, including to her parents. (I was unable to link Angeline "Angie" Lake, since you made that memorial.) If I have made mistakes, please let me know.

Like I said, I have no problem with the transfer at all. Just give me a little while to finish everything. If you can't wait though, let me know.

Thank you!

RE: Holbert Cemetery
Well then I say hello cousin!!
I descend though Silas's older brother Isaac Newton Holbert. Their graves are located towards the front of the grave yard on the right hand side. My sister and I are from the east coast so it took us 11 hours to drive there and we went there on the spur of the moment. We wanted to see where our grandfather's family was from.
The stones in that grave yard are in very poor conditions from being exposed to the elements for so many years, some were broken and moved. We never would have been able to find the three grave yards that we visited if it wasn't for our guide Lowell who was not only a neighbor to the Holbert's living there back in the 1940's but also a member of the genealogy group located at the Fairmont Library.
We had the best time and discovered so many Holbert family members that we were able to put into our ancestry tree. Karen and I put together a spreadsheet of all the graves and their relationships to Benjamin Veach and Mary Ann Tetrick Holbert.
I have more pictures to load and when I am finished I will forward them all to you so you can see the pictures that aren't of just the grave stones. Plus send you the spreadsheets that we put together. We are working with Angel Eyes and she has been so very helpful to us and getting the different burial grounds straighten out.
Are you taking about the graveyard in Dudley Fork?? We have a spreadsheet on that one given to us by our guide Lowell, you had been to that cemetery. It holds Benjamin's father Michael Jacob.
It will be nice to share info on our different family members and I look forward to continued conversations…
Cheryl

RE: Holbert Cemetery
Hi David, thanks so much for your note. My sister and I visited Fairmont WV in 2009 and were very lucky to have a guide to help us locate three grave yards where the Holbert's were buried. The one that is on the old Jerry Hess Farm was the most difficult to find. The brush was over grown heading up the mountain but the people that now own the land had just gone up and cut everything around the stones. I will be loading up more pictures over the next couple of days and there will be one more cemetery with that I have pictures of. Are you related to the Holbert's??

Cheryl
