|Phil Tobias||Matta M. Gaskill transfer|
Joyce, Would you be able to transfer Matta M. Gaskill to me? Her number is 126235393.
I'm her second great grand nephew and I've been looking for her for a long time. I've connected her to her daughter, and would like to do so for her sisters, brother, and parents.

|Joe||David L Hanford|
I was wondering if you are related in any way to the Hanford name? As I am trying to differentiate between two David L Hanford's born in the 1950's. One is the David L Hanford #116584061 you posted and the other is a David Lee Hanford #76380821 buried at Mt Ever-rest Memorial Park South, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

|Katherine (Kathi) White||RE: Edward Bagley #54831527|
Thank you Joyce!
It's of no hurry at all. I find tinfoil (shiny side out) works really well to pic up additional info. This family is of no relation to me, but I've committed myself to transcribing the oldest section of Lancaster Rural Cemetery, Erie Co., New York where Edward spent spprox. 30 years. Four of his "young" adult daughters are buried here in a most unusual burial mound that used to be a walk in crypt. Another married dau. is here as well as one adult son and Edward's wife. It appears that Edward went to Michigan after the death of his wife in 1869 to be with his son Jefferson or possibly a daughter Mary Bagley Wickwire. I'll send you via e-mail, a picture of his daughters burial mound as it is most unusual for these parts. I've never seen anything like it! Thank you for your willingness to help. I put in several edits for folks who already have pieces of this family listed so they can all be connected. From one hard-core graver to another - CHEERS! Kathi

I've come across the photo you submitted for Edward Bagley's Memorial. Is there any way to determine what the two lines between his birth date and death date say? It appears to contain information on his service in the War of 1812. I believe I just added his wife Phila #128192693 and have connected them as such. Thank you.

|Joy Hicks bridges, little sister||Brother; lost and found...|
THANK YOU SO MUCH for the post for my half brother PFC Earl Smith. I never knew my brother even as he saw me as a baby in Los Angeles, 1952; we had different fathers. He went to live with his father in Michigan at about age 8, along with his twin sister Earline, while our mother reliquished me to my father in Los Angeles. Long story centered on racial differences then, so I never knew my half-siblings and only saw our mother once as a preteen. I found my half-sister about 4 years ago, after 50+ years of wanting to meet her and know my maternal family. Thanks to the internet I eventually achieved the possibility, and gathered genealogical facts. However, it hurts knowing my big brother died at age 19 while serving our Country. I will forever wonder what kind of Big Brother he would have been. And, would he have excepted me unconditionally being our mother was White (his father was White), but my father was Black. I pray he would have embraced me, as I know I would have love him. I visit the Vietnam Vet Wall during summers while visiting my son in D.C., and I am proud to have this contact. I am also happy today in finding his burial headstone. These are the links I have with Earl, and they are special. Thank you for taking the moment to place his resting place on line and linking me with my Big Brother the remainder of my days. Sincerely, Joy! Hicks bridges

Thanks for making the rest of the updates. The new edit feature is nice, but they do need to add in some kind of notification to the maintainer since you actually have to go looking to see if you have any to take care of. I have a lot of these new edit requests pending with other maintainers, so I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't know about it either or don't always remember to check it.
Anyway, I appreciate your friendliness and willingness to help. Not all maintainers are.

Thank you for making the updates I requested for bio info and links. Did you also receive my requests for name and birth/death updates sent through Find A Grave's new edit feature for those? They need to implement some kind of notification to the maintainer when those kind of edits are submitted. I know I don't always remember to check if I have any pending requested updates. Anyway, please let me know if you did not get my other edit requests for these 3 people.

Hello and thank you for posting the info and photos for John D. Lombard #970767 and his wife Melvina #97076731. Please link them when you can. John's brother, Frank P. Lombard is buried in the Evergreen in Colorado Spring but don't think you can link them? If yes, I'll get that no. for you. Just read today that Ancestry has acquired Find-A-Grave...not sure that is good or bad news? Might start to charge? Thanks for what you do...so helpful and caring.
