RE: Majerus Photo
Someone just posted photos of Peter and Mary Hinkel's grave marker. What are the chances of that happening just after we were talking about it.

RE: Majerus Photo
I live in Las Vegas and don't make it back too often. My dad passed away and my mom is here in Las Vegas. If you make it there again, I'm looking for a photo of my great-great-grandparents, Peter and Mary Hinkel. Thanks, again. It really means a lot.

Thank you for the photo and the additional info. I had not seen that newspaper article. You might want to look at their memorials. I added your suggestions with a photo from the newspaper. My dad is his namesake and I am named after my dad. Thanks again!

Brophy, Again
Joe, we need your help. Remember we conversed 6 months ago about the Brophy family? Well, I kept my promise and was in LA last week and photographed Ellen Brophy's tombstone. I've posted it on her memorial. However, imagine my surprise when I discovered that her husband, William, is buried next to her. I have a photo of his tombstone but haven't posted it yet because the contributor who manages his memorial has him buried in Tucson. Complete with tombstone photo. However, that tombstone doesn't have dates. The one I have does have dates and they are correct to be Ellen's husband. So - who's buried in Tucson?

RE: Ellen Amelia Brophy
If you look at the Calvary main page on Find A Grave it shows that there are 484 photo requests and the first couple of photo requests have a problem reported that the office won't give location information. Sounds a lot like St. Francis here in Phoenix. But, if you can get the plot info, I've already got my husband committed to going in July. Otherwise, when we go, while I mow rows, he'll wander and see if he can find her.

I'll see what I can do also to get her burial location added. I absolutely will link the memorials if we can accomplish that goal. I 100% agree with you regarding the importance of the Brophy family to the history of Arizona. I have to admit that I was quite surprised when I photographed the tombstones to find that memorials hadn't been already made for them. LOL - you've also given me a reason to make another graveyard trip to LA. It doesn't look like Calvary is very well represented on Find A Grave. We'll get this done. Thanks for the note.

You are quite welcome! Your Uncle was in our Pioneer Section of the cemetery. I was lucky and found a security guard that looked him up and told me where I could Find him.

Good Luck with your ancestry

Dos Cabezas Cemetery
Hi, Joe, and thanks for the catch on Mariana Pacheco in the Dos Cabezas cemetery and, yes sir, that is one wonderful cemetery. I live about 20 miles away and visit it often along with the Riggs Family Cemetery up the road about 14 miles. I love this area and the rugged environment that bred such hardy souls! I took over maintenance of all of AZLil Owl's memorials in the Sulphur Springs valley save the above Riggs cemetery and am slowly but surely updating, correcting, and linking all of the folks that I can. Barb has the Riggs Cemetery now and is a Riggs herself.
Thanks again and best regards!

Hooked On Family
RE: Catherine Feyereisen

I live somewhat near there. I went and took photos of the entire Catholic part of the cemetery. I am not finished posting photos yet, but will get to it when I can. Do you have any family history? I subscribe to also, so have been trying to read census forms to get the familial connections made. There are two different families of Feyereisens buried there, I think. If you read my bio, it says I am glad to transfer, so if you would like to manage these (about 20 of them), just let me know.
