I felt badly yesterday when I couldnʻt fulfill your photo request for Frankʻs final resting place, so I went back today when the office was open, got his plot information and got a photo of the temporary marker. I fulfill many requests there so I will keep an eye on it and will post a photo of his stone when it is placed. Usually takes a few months. By the way, you posted another page for him so now there are 2! I put the photo and will send the edit for his plot location to the first one.

I am so happy and relieved that you liked my photos! In respect to others who tried, this was a difficult situation. The light really streams through the skylight, and I think I benefited by visiting in the mid-afternoon.
The vault is so high, today was the first time that I had wished that I had a selfie stick!
By the way, Chapel of the Chimes is a beautiful landmark in Oakland. If you aren't familiar with the structure, I encourage you to look it up. The architect was the incomparable Julia Morgan, a legendary figure here in the Bay Area, and best known for having designed Hearst Castle.

|S. Goff||RE: George Huddy|
Wow, was I ever thrilled to get your news. Thank you so very much! I had talked with the cemetery at the time I made the request for a photo and they did not give me the information you did. He was quite a prominent person so it is strange no marker of any kind was ordered. I am so very glad to finally have learned about his burial. My uncle is a relative of his (my uncles great grandmother was Georges sister) so I will pass this information on to him. He might want to finally give Dr. George Huddy a marker. Apparently, he is buried with his father and cousin.
We still are trying to find where William Henry Harrison Huddy's wife and Georges mother is buried. She was an islander named Kahea. So our search will continue for her.
Again, we thank you for writing that letter and letting us know. It is certainly appreciated!

I'll be glad to go out and take a much closer look. The volunteer at the Chapel directed me to this previous spot because of the lighting I couldn't see the names clearly where it was noted to be. But knowing it should be books and not round urns will make a difference. I'll go look today. Thanks, Russell

They are very large niches- I would imagine a coffin could fit in.

I am sorry about the request. I was working just before bedtime and I just wasn't paying close attention. I was really excited to find F.A.G. info on her family.
Thanks for your response.

Thank you so much for taking the time to try to locate my husband's cousin. We had no idea that his body was moved to Ohio. Now a new hunt begins.

|Ruth Smith||Cemetery Photos|
Beverly: Just read your bio and the comments made by other people concerning your photographs. I just want to thank you for all your hard work and say please ignore criticism from other people. All we volunteers know how much work it is fighting the elements (bird droppings, weeds, wet grass, etc.)but we keep doing it because of our love for other people and wanting to help them. There is one cemetery here in Cape Girardeau, Mo. that is not very cooperative also and I heard rumors they would look up burials for $5 each. I have to drive 10 miles to the county court house and look up people to see where they are buried out at that particular cemetery. So I usually do it when I am over there any way. However our city cemeteries are wonderful to do - all their burials are on line and the superintendent is such a nice man and will look up anything that I have a problem with.
May God bless you as you continue to take pictures . Ruth Smith

There is no reason what so ever for people to be so darn mean,especially to someone who is trying to help them/do them a favor....
I guess I just don't understand this world we live in anymore :(
Have a great afternoon,

I couldn't help but see in your bio about "some" people saying that you don't take
"professional" pictures so therefore,they don't want them on their memorials.
Last I knew,we are VOLUNTEERS,not PROFESSIONAL photographers.I took a peek @ some of the pictures you have taken & posted & couldn't find a single thing wrong w/them.As the old saying goes "You can please some but you can't please them all" & have I ever found that saying to be true,especially on this site.
Keep up the great work your doing :-)
Have a great week-end,
~ Beth ~

|Lynda Puakea||Hawaiʻi Veterans Cemeteries|
Good morning, Beverly,
I noticed that you have a virtual cemetery for East Hawaiʻi Veterans Cemetery 1, 2 & 3... in East Hawaiʻi, Hilo on Hawaiʻi Island, there are only 2 veterans cemeteries... #1 on Kapiʻolani St and #2 on Laimana St. West Hawaiʻi Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona (other side of the island) is sometimes referred to as #3. I am in Hilo right now and have fulfilled some photo request and got this information from the Dept of Parks & Rec in Hilo who maintains the grave records. Here is a web site that has grave listings: http://records.co.hawaii.hi.us/Weblink8/browse.aspx?dbid=1&startid=32323
Hope this helps...

|B.J. Waters||Professional Photos?|
Beverly, we are not required to be professional photographers here on Find a Grave. We are all volunteers helping others, not getting paid for our time and photos. If anyone tells you not to take photos, you should tell them to stuff it! People on this site should not be so judgmental. Just do the best you can. If you enjoy taking photos and participating on this site, please don't let others spoil your fun. Or at least, if there is another cemetery that you can go to, please give it another go. Don't stop doing it because of a few inconsiderate knuckleheads!

Thank you for the tips and for merging the memorials of Blanche and Michael Cabral to Vet Cemetery #01. I deleted the 2 memorials I created. Then edited the notes of their grave locations on your memorial pages. It all says Vet Cemetery #01 now.
