RE: Cindicia Roberts Golladay
Incidently, her mother Mathilda had a sister name Cindicia, who married Henry Harrison Roberts. Her grave marker has Dicie on it too. There is a memorial with a picture of the grave marker there.

Are you closely related to Catherine Burroughs?

I grew up in the hose next door to her on Lincoln Rd, before they moved up to Rt 50.

Just kind of wonder what happed to the family?

You are welcome Walter. Did you ever have any luck establishing the burial site of James Williams in that IOOF lot? That was way back in 2012, as my file reminds me. David.

Just a note to let you know that I received your SAC for Jottie and have made all of the corrections you requested except for her year of birth. You wanted to change it to 1883, her marker shows it as 1892 and her Death Certificate also shows 1892. That seems to be a pretty big gap in information so I'm going to fall back on how I look at this: When in doubt, go with what is on the marker.

I am researching the family of John Brown Gollady and Jessie Bullock. Jessie is a member of my Anderson family tree. I do have some information regarding this family but would like to see what else you might have as well.

RE: Ellen (Thomas) Glass
Thank you so much for your quick response! I found another link with the cemetery which led me to a link with the library. There seems to be an obituary for this Ellen. It may or may not have any familial information but I will send you a copy. I doubt their response time will be anywhere near yours. Thanks so much.

Memorial 337433300
found your memorial for Ellen Thomas Glass. I was searching for an Ellen Glass that fit most of the information in your posting. She was born in 1832 and grew up in Circleville, Ohio. She was still alive to be included in the 1870 census as a resident of Dayton, Ohio. My Ellen was Ellen Douglas McCortney before her 1858 marriage to James Glass. They were both deaf mutes and I am sure life was hard for them because of their shared handicap. Do you have any other records for Ellen Thomas? Is there a possibility the Thomas family donated this plot as a very generous gift to an indigent family? I didn't see any mention of her on the headstone. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks

Old Lexington Cemetery
Walter, I saw that you had added the Old Lexington (Presbyterian) Cemetery in Preble County. I wanted to let you know that I went to the cemetery today and spent nearly 5 hours there, taking pictures of every single stone. I also found some gravestones with my probe and cleaned them up and took pictures of them.
I will be posting all of the pictures of every single gravestone this afternoon.
Thought that I'd let you know.
Thank you.
