|Lee Ashmore||Hopkins in North Ridge Cemetery|
I posted all of the Hopkins names you mentioned in your messages in North Ridge Cemetery. If you could add their gravestone photos I would very much appreciate it. Thanks so much!
Also, I'm missing yet another Silas Seward Hopkins 1815-1871 and his wife Abigail Douglas Hopkins 1817-1900 of Lewiston, NY. Maybe you can track them down.
And... if you happen to be back in Lockport, any Hopkins from Lockport, NY and a photo of the John Hopkins house which still stands in Lockport. He was a civil engineer who worked on the Erie Canal.
Thanks again for all your help!!!

|Lee Ashmore||Mary Hopkins|
Thanks, Cliff, for the new photos! I had 2 Mary Hopkins born 1881 and couldn't tell which was which without the death dates. Now I have the correct names on each memorial.
I'm always looking for new Hopkins graves in NY State, so if you find any in your travels not already photographed, please let me know.
Thanks again for all your help!

You posted a photo of the grave of Silas above and next to his stone is one for Mary 1881-
The date is cut off and I was wondering if the photo was cropped and you might be able to tell me the death date of Mary 1881-
Thanks, Lee #47026276

|Roy Woodruff||RE: Braunscheidel|
In this case, I don't think so, but not going to rule it out. I do have a few Scheid's in the family, but all the Braunscheidel's are full spellings. However, with that said, I have found Braunscheidel spelled Brownscheidel, Braunscheidle, Braunschidel, and Bronchidle. I guess however the immigration worker wanted to spell it was how it was spelled. It has been very difficult to get the families traced completely.

|Ellen Herrmann||Buckner Photos|
A long time ago you took some Buckner/Krueger photos at Hartland Cemetery and sent them to me on a hunch. I just placed them in my family tree. They were for John Smoke Buckner and his wife Anna Marie Krueger and family. Well, I saved them because I just knew that I was related to all the Buckners in Niagara/Orleans. So, again....many, many thanks dear friend !

Thank you for the new information, though I don't believe there is a connection to the line I have been following. After many years of doing this, I realize that I must identify and stick by my limits!

I cannot believe how wonderful you are !!
I just saw the new photos from Mountain Ridge and am so thrilled. I am so deeply indebted to you and your wife for all your time and efforts. You cannot understand how much this one especially means to me, not just because of the actual photos you took for me but also because it showed me that the cemetery where my own children are buried it still beautifully kept. It's something you wonder about being so far away; so you brought me peace of mind as well. I truly can never begin to thank you enough for all you both have done.
With my sincere heartfelt appreciation,
Ellen M. Herrmann

Thank you so much for your time and efforts ! I really appreciate you and your wife stopping at the cemetery for us. I expected them to be all together, so maybe that the children's graves are unmarked. I actually have the location of Benjamin's and the family records indicate that Earl was buried near his Grandmother at Lynhaven, so that would be Mary Catherine Buckner.
I think my next step would be to try and contact someone at the cemetery to see if there is an actual record of his burial site. Maybe Earl isn't really near the rest of the family because he was the first one interred there in 1903.
Many, many thanks again to both you and your wife...you've given us priceless gifts in these photos.

Thank you so much for the picture of George A Tower's headstone. I was wondering if you happen to notice if his 1st wife was near his stone. Her name was Mary Ellen Gates. I don't have any details on her, but was just wondering if she might have been close to George in the cemetery.
