I have transferred your cousin to your care. Please note that I generally do not transfer outside of suggested guidelines, but I do give everyone at least one "freebie". Welcome to Find A Grave and hope to see more work from you!

RE: Rector's photo

I've tried to reply a couple of times but the emails don't seem to be going through.

I'll make this one short. Last Saturday I surveyed the Frank Rector Cemetery and added over 20 new memorial pages.

You have written such kind words of appreciation. It is really quite a fulfilling experience for me and my daughter (my assistant, as she says).

RE: Elmwood Cemetery
Thanks for the nice note and there are 3 more Griffin's that i am trying to track down.

On the ones that I stated a better picture to be added later, I will get to doing that ASAP.

Would there be a problem cleaning them enough to get a better picture, I will NOT do any damage to the stones, I have to much respect for the markers to damage them in any way.

Please let me know!

I have pictures of the other names in the plots and I will send them to you in a small format that is easy to send in a e mail but I will need your e mail address.

RE: Elmwood Cemetery
You give me more credit than it took, First the cemetery joins the back of my property plus I have a book and a map that shows where the burial sit is and I just walked out the back door and got the pictures.

BTW there are more headstones in the burial plot and I will send them to you if you want them or I will post them on the memorials when they are requested or let me know!

RE: Old Mtn Page Baptist Cemetery
Not a problem .... pretty close to where I live. The church was abandoned and in pretty bad shape. I took a picture and posted it, but it has to be approved so I'm guessing you can see it Monday. The cemetery is not visible from the church and is up on top of a nearby hill. It looks as if some relatives have placed newer stones to replace old ones, but many are nothing but eroded markers. Mostly Hipps and Paces buried there, both big family names in the area to this day.

RE: Knott's Berry Farm picture

So glad you enjoyed the picture!
Just thinking about Knott's Berry Farm tugs at my heartstrings. We lived less than 30 minutes from Knott's, and, as a child, I remember being transported to a world of wonder. I liked it better than Disneyland (which, of course, I liked, too). Old McDonald's Farm, with the mule-pulled swing and the piano playing chicken, the Carousel, the covered wagon diorama, Jungle Island, Serrano, the Educated Horse (Find A Grave Memorial# 65746646)
...I could just go on and on.

Knott's was special and unique, it's remarkable celebration of the Old West and a bygone age made it stand out from other amusement parks. Too bad that much of the original character of the place has gone. Walter and Cordelia are buried in the same cemetery as my parents (Loma Vista, Fullerton). There are a few books written about Knotts, "Knott's Berry Farm" by Jennings and "Knott's Preserved" by Merritt.

Happy Memories to You!

I failed to welcome you to Find A Grave! Always good to have another member. I live near and know many of the cemeteries where you have photo requests. Will try soon to visit and locate the sites for you.

Photo Request for Evans Field
Just want to let you know that I personally walked this cemetery 2 years ago to record all of its marked graves, the one you requested was not previously listed because like many there it is unmarked. I also crossed referenced cemetery records from 1935 and 1960 catching some of those that are unmarked apparently this one slipped through because it does not show up in any editions.
Good Luck
