Thanks for the information. I have posted it as you typed it out. Do you know where her first husband is buried so we can link them?

I just posted her death cert on her memorial page. That is all I have.

Sorry to hear about Carol's passing. I was curious if you would be taking over her memorials. I'm looking for help correcting an entry where she evidently didn't know the correct name of a cemetery and inadvertently created a new one.

Will you be continuing her involvement with FindaGrave?

Hi, I just added the headstone picture for Colvin and I noticed in the write up that it is presumed he died in a place other than Rochester. The Mt. Hope cemetery records give his place of death as Rochester. Thought you might want to know. jeanp

You are correct in me being 'a messenger' of the information. The original data was transcribed by members of the local genealogical society. I transferred that information to the Find-A-Grave website for the Battle Ground Cemetery. I did locate and photograph markers where possible. Sorry I can not give you any information regarding this person.

|JC||RE: Sara Kelley Leathers|
Sara is listed on 1930 and 1940 Census for Hanford living with her parents Burchiel and Clarence Kelley. Both Census show her birthplace as Calif. Her parents are also living in Hanford on the 1920 Census. Hope this helps.

|Carol Page Tilson||Pre-Death Memorials?|
How do you feel about "Cemetery Scroungers" who post memorials for people before they've taken their last breath?
For them, anyone with his/her name on a grave marker is fair game. Doesn't matter whether it's on the front of the stone with a deceased spouse or the back of parents' in a listing of their children. I check my husband's and my own folks' memorials every so often, just to to make sure we're still alive.
While obit hunters frequently post pre-funeral memorials, often not even knowing the cemetery name, but at least they know their subjects are dead.
P.S. Thanks for linking Blanche Crevolin with the recently posted memorial of her husband.

I would like further information before I make the correction you suggest. The memorial as posted is for Nora Adams Colvin. The obituary reference is to Nora Harris. How should I reconcile the difference in name?

|John Arsenault||Hannah Colvin|
Thank you for the info from Hannah's death notice. I've updated her memorial with the correct date and put in an explanation for the difference from the date on the gravestone.
Can you send me a copy of that death notice? I couldn't find it online.
