RE: Small question on Paul Wimmenauer memorial
I will try to check for you, but I had taken photos of all the markers on the larger monument.

Kathryn, I will gladly transfer to your care but first after I put her in the correct cemetery, another one had recently been established. I have contacted that person and asked to have the duplicate deleted. When she does this, I will then pass to your care. Just a FYI, please include your member number when requesting transfer. I just so happened found your number with your request from the person who has the duplicate, as your name wouldn't come up as there are too many Kathryn's on Find A Grave. Thanks so much, geraldine

RE: Fred Ruedy/Mary DeJuren/Casper Custer edits
I understand your concerns but my suggestions were based upon the rules in the FAQs. Parentheses are a problem with the current search engine as are multiple marriage names and multiple spellings. I hope you will reconsider.

BTW, my DIL is a Custer descendent but I'm not sure if it is yours. I do know it's not Geo Armstrong Custer. :-) Who actually lived in my hometown.

For your convenience here is one of the pertinent sections from the FAQs. Somewhere it says that the last name on the memorial must match the last name on the marker, but I couldn't find it. Thanks for contacting me.

Memorial Naming Conventions
If a hyphen or an apostrophe is part of the name, use the punctuation.
Use a period after names where only an initial is known. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial.
Do not use any other punctuation within any Name Field.
Do not use Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names in any Name Field.
Suffixes and Prefixes do not belong in any Name Field.

First Name
First name of the deceased. Put the entire first name (if known), even if the grave marker is only an initial. Do not include titles or other prefixes in the First Name field.

Middle Name
Middle name of deceased. Put the entire middle name (if known), even if the grave marker is only an initial.

Nickname of deceased, if known; the nickname is automatically placed in quotes.

Maiden Name
Maiden name of a married individual, if known (otherwise leave blank); the maiden name is automatically italicized and is only used if the individual was married and took the spouse's last name as their new last name. If the deceased was never married, then the last name is placed in the "Last Name" field, NOT in the "Maiden Name" field.

Last Name
Last Name as you would find it on the tombstone, if the interred had more than one marriage or other possible spellings please place this information in the bio and use the family links. Do not include honorary or other suffixes in the Last Name field.

RE: Photo thank you!
Your welcome. I did not take that photo, it was on this spouse's memorial. Some times when you make funeral arrangements the price of the death inscription is included in the price. You might inquire where the stone was purchased and see if they know if that was in the price, otherwise you will have to pay additional cost.

Wellinger gravesite-St Joseph Cemetery
Hi Kathryn-I checked for a headstone for your Wellinger requests and positively identified the site. Unfortunately there is not a headstone but I am posting a picture of the site. Their gravesites is between the two visible stones.

RE: Raymond Chaplin Memorial
It turns out that his parents, Russell & Ida, and his sister, Fay Ault, just lived a few miles from our farm.

I have deleted my memorial to him. Thanks for letting me know about the duplication. I know that sometimes the names just don't show up in a search, therefore causing a duplicate.

Thank you for notifying me that this is a duplicate memorial. If you would, please send me the memorial number of the original, as I have searched, but cannot find it. That is the reason I created this one.

Once I receive it, I will gladly delete the duplicate.

Thank you for this consideration!

Kathryn, I went to the cemetery today and there is no date of death inscription on the headstone. I have made an inquiry to the cemetery to see if I can get any additional information. I will let you know when I hear back from them. Judie

RE: William H Wimmenauer request
I checked in the Genealogical Society of Marion County's database and although they don't have any date information, they do show a burial location so let me check it out and see if there is any additional info on the marker. I use the database a lot and this is the first time I've come across a record with no dates but I don't think they'd have a record if William was still alive. Hoping to get out to the cemetery on Sunday, weather permitting.
