Thank you so much for the transfer!

It is good to find people on Find A Grave who are working hard to keep the records correct. I have been working for two years trying to correct the mess with the Cherry Cemeteries in my county. Everytime I get something correct someone from another county or state will add a duplicate in the wrong cemetery. I really do feel sorry for anyone who is looking for someone buried in one of the Cherry Cemeteries in Clay County. What makes it worse is the cemetery books people are creating and not putting the correct name of the cemetery (for example, they look at the two oldest graves and give it that name instead of asking the locals or contacting the property assessor. In some cases they list it by the current owners name when they were not born when the cemetery was created). When I visited the cemetery back in 2009 my uncle called it the Bewleytown Cemetery so when I was looking on Find A Grave for Rosie's (Rosa Vaughan Short) memorial I had trouble finding it.

Again thanks for the transfer, it is people like you that make Find A Grave a great resource.

Remember the beyond
Martha Elizabeth McIntyre Lane
Martha Elizabeth McIntyre Lane, you left a suggestion to move her to another graveyard. Are yo living close enough to search for her headstone if she has one??? I don't think I'll be going down to Tompkinsville this year. Will gladly move her,if a direct descendant knows where she is at, or if you can find her headstone. but will leave her where she is for now. Believe me I do know, that death certificates can be wrong, that the best info is from family members that are directly related.

Barren County Farm Cemeteries (Old & New)
Laura Stewart suggested I write to you.

I'm trying to find GPS coordinates for these cemeteries. I believe you took at least one of the cemetery photos.

Can you help me?

Thank you for headstone photo
Thank you so much for the headstone photo for William H and Emily Jane Carver. I just happened to look on his memorial and notice it was recently added. I'm nearly sure you know this is Joel Y Carver's brother. Joel is my mother's grandfather. William and Mary Tom are Mom's great uncle and great aunt. Thanks to you and your wife for all the photos you both have added.

Jason and Mary Harmon
Harrison Family Question
I am stumped on my step-father's Harrison ancestry. His father was Jim W. Harrison (1889-1971). He was from Barren Co., KY and died in Allen Co., KY. He was married 1st to Georgia Elmore and 2nd to Lola O'Neal. I am leaning towards him being the son of Burrough "Bure" Harrison and Belle (Maiden name unknown). Can you shed any light on this mystery? feel free to email me directly at

Thanks for ANY help....Jason Harmon

Parker Cemetery #2
Thank you for the information about this Cemetery. They are my blood relatives except for Mr. Clifton McDaniel who was married to my great Aunt Bessie. Thomas and Sarah Parker are my great-grandparents. Joe and Maude Walkup are my grandparents. Harry and Roy were my great uncles. Harry was 14 and Roy was 20 when they passed away.

Also, I am related to Robert Steenbergen's first wife, but none of these four people.

I deleted one entry. The others had to be submitted for approval to be deleted since I'm not the original creator. I explained that, while mine were created first, the others are correct. Also, I have included the biographies I have written for each as suggested corrections. However, I forgot to change the name of the cemetery at the end of each biography. Do I need to send a message to the owner of the correct entries or are you in contact with them?
