RE: Col. Bryant question
Hi!
Sorry I've been gone for so long. Just got back on the job!

You mean Col. Leslie Bryant...? All I have on his military service info is from his mausoleum plaque. The person who we are related to who would have further info is wholly unhelpful. He was some kind of head officer during WWII at Camp Roberts in CA. I was told vaguely that he was in charge of the whole operation there. It was a training camp or base for the Army, supposedly. I'll have to check his page on ancestry where I've kept those few notes I have.

I believe he was a returning veteran who had served during WW ONE, and therefore was too old to go overseas but skilled enough to lead and train, administrate, whatever.

Regarding his time at Camp Roberts: His daughter Betty Bryant Winsor was a switchboard operator at the camp during WWII and I do have pics of her on the job there.

Talk to you soon! Let me know if I've got the correct guy.

Okay...I see!
Okay, I checked out Betty's mem. page just in case and I'm so happy that you are related--thank you for leaving flowers, even if they're cyborg flowers. I would really love to learn anything you have on the Bryants and Buchanans etc, as I am lost beyond belief. I sort of lose track once they left for Canada, and that's not far off from the present really.

Betty was my grandmother-in-law and I've known her since I was 16. To me, she is a grandma,so I jumped at the chance to memorialize her--she was cremated--in as nice a way as I could.

I'm not sure which cousin or 2nd cousin you may be, but let me just say that I'm so glad you're out there!

Keep in touch!

Aunt Betty
Hi There,
I was just making sure, if I'm getting right, that you're speaking of Betty Winsor. Please let me know if you don't mind.
Have a Wonderful Day!
