Photo for Chester Weakley

First thanks for the photos you posted on the memorial for Chester Weakley.

I'd like your approval to use those photos for my personal use, including trees. I will of course, be happy to give you full credit --- as you certainly deserve it.

Thanks in advance for your consideration of this request. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Babe Bordelon
Disa Long Gipson
My name is Babe Renee (Vaughn) Bordelon and I am a great granddaughter of Disa Gipson and the granddaughter of Babe Ruth Gipson Reed. I am currently trying find out any additional information or pictures of the Gipson/Long family. So far I have been able to find death certificates of Disa Gipson, Henry Albert Gipson, Ethel Jewel Gipson. I was also able to view the pictures of William Bird Long along with pictures of some of the headstones listed on this site. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks again.

RE: Amanda J Shirrell
This cemetery is the old Gordon Cemetery. The land was part of the farm of John Gordon who was a brother to my great-grandfather Patrick Hendy Gordon who is also buried there. The land was never transfered to anyone and still remains the property of the Gordon family. I have visited this cemetery hundreds of times since so many of my family are buried there. My wife and I cateloged this cemetery in 1982 and had the cemetery published. All entrys in Find A Grave are based on actural tombstones that were there in 1982. I didn't photograph all of the stones because in those days I was using a 35mm camera. I only took pictures of stones that were related. So in 1982 Amanda J Sherrill had a tombstone in this cemetery. I hope that helps. Since she died in 1889 you should find an entry in the death leger at the Coles County Courthouse.

RE: Berrong
Went to Oak Ridge Cemetery today. Happened by it on our way home when our road was closed the other day. It is south of Swinton.
We noticed the GPS cordinates are wrong. Can you change these? They should be Latitude 36.59354 and Longitude -89.55841

RE: photo claim for Brownwood Cem
Thank you! Seems like there was something about the dates too. We've been waiting for it to dry out a little bit. It won't take long to check Cruse and Frazier at Toga. Hopefully we can find it. I appreciate your help!

I'll be glad to add middle name if you can supply a source.

I get so many "corrections" that turn out wrong, then I have to go back and correct the corrections.

Thank you.

Got me wondering
I was looking thru your virtual cemeteries - are you related to Pete Long of Brownwood? We lived about 1/4 mile east and 1/4 mile south of Brownwood Cemetery from 1950 to 57. I graduated from Advance in 1959. My dad was Linus Hawk. Sent an email to your hotmail address and it bounced.

RE: Clara V Hawks
Thank you for the note. I am Clara's grandson and have been trying to get the name corrected on her memorial for some time and/or get the memorial transferred to me. Clara's husband (Robert Nicholas Hawks) and her only child (Robert Linus Hawks) are both buried in Morgan Cemetery, Advance. They lived about a mile south of Brownwood on the road to Swinton/Rock Point when she died. She has no family buried at Brownwood.

Would you please permit me to use the photo of Clarence's headstone on my tree? He is my husband's 2nd cousin.

I will happily give you credit for the photo and also reference the Find A Grave memorial.

Thank you for your kind consideration!

Karen Craig
Rushin Family
I deleted the second Mollie Rushin (had tried to previously but wasn't successful). As far as their burial - someone had told me they were buried there and remembered them and where they were buried. I located their death certificates on the Missouri Death Index and did a brief genealogical tree on both which traced their husbands and child. It is my understanding that someone at the church is going to place markers on their graves.

Picture usage
Hi, Thank you for taking and sharing picture up here on Find A Grave. I have recently started using grave marker pictures as an additional source document in documenting my ancestor's lives. May I use the picture you have posted for Ambrose Ashcraft, as well as any others I may come across for members in my family tree, in my personal family tree file? I will gladly note that they are from: Find A Grave Contributor: R Long & Family (#47749103). I descend from Daniel & Elizabeth Lewis Ashcraft (1698-1755 & 1702-1791) and am trying to find as many of their descendants as I can.
I thank you again for your time & effort, I do appreciate it very much.
