Dean, I checked my Find A Grave edits before I checked my email, so I didn't see your message until after my message to you.
Thank you for the obit & yes, I will add it to his memorial. Since there seems to be a mystery as to his first name, I think that I will leave it as J. Even obits have been known to have erroneous info.
Again, thank you for J.B.'s obit. I appreciate you taking the time in typing & sending it to me. Sara

Dean, thank you for the edits for J.B., #143409487.
May I ask where you found your info? There are 2 profiles on "Ancestry" where his first name is listed as Jeoffrey. If you have his obit, I would be most happy to add it to his memorial.
Thanks! Sara

Cecil Madison Chapman
Thank you very much for Cecil's obituary. I have added it to his memorial. His death certificate says he was married to "Ila", but no marriage can be found. I noticed that she was not mentioned in his obituary. Another mystery to solve!

re: Chapman family
Hello Dean,

I noticed you've made several photo uploads to many of my Chapman memorials. I presumed these are your family and went ahead and transferred them to you for maintenance. If you do not want to keep them, please transfer them back. Thank you!

RE: Lena Berger
No, I did not know "Big Bill". I was really totally unfamiliar with Tongie until recently. I knew we had some family around Kansas City when I was a child but seldom went for a visit. I remember a couple of times as a little kid - one for a funeral and one later to visit. When I started the genealogy just a few years back, I got acquainted with cousins in the area and discovered it was their mother's funeral I had attended when I was five. One cousin, who is 83, is a wealth of information and is like a sister to me. We both think we could have had years of great friendship had we known each other sooner! Her grandmother and my great-grandmother (one & the same)was a Redman. My gg-grandfather came here from Germany with his father and siblings. They had settle in Adams County, Neb., but for some reason my gg-grandfather resettled in Tongie. He is the only one of his siblings to do so. Wish I knew why.

Thank you so much for her obituary! I am no relation, but I am always wiling to post obits. Often they tell a part of the story of a person's life and I feel that they enhance the memorial. My great-grandmother was a Redman from the Tongie area. I have a lot of relatives buried in the area and I have made a few trips out there to visit and clean up the markers in the cemeteries. I've only made it to the library in Tongie once and that was with two grandkids in tow, so I did not have much time to spend there. Cannot wait till I have time again to get out there and hot the library for some obituaries. Anyway, thanks again for the obit. If you are related, I would be happy to transfer if you like. Just let me know.
