Thank you, I found the articles in the paper, made copies & took to the funeral home. They now have young Arch in their records, and we will have all three on the directory at the cemetery. Father, Arch, is the only one with a marker, though.

If you could tell me which issues of the Atkinson Graphic that the articles are in then I could go back to the library and check again. I was hoping that the obit would be in the next issue or two after his death, but those were the ones missing.

There is no marker for Minnie nor for son, Archie. In fact, the funeral home has no record that young Archie is buried there. The records for those early years weren't kept the best, so--I did go to the library this morning to see if there was an obit in the newspaper. Wouldn't you know, three issues for that time period were missing! Couldn't find anything. Sorry!

|Rodney A Arnold||Lieut Roy James Lee|
Thank you for the newspaper article concerning his service and passing.
I have let his cousins know it was added to his memorial.
You do a great service in honoring those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country, our flag and their/our families.
Continued luck in all of your research and endeavors, A Grateful Veteran

I think that I may be related to the Margaret McAfee who died in 1851 and is buried in Oakdale, Illinois Cemetery. I was wondering if you are related to her or know who requested the pictures for her memorial.

You're very welcome Lee. Was Cecil his wife? There's another James F Armstrong buried there, 1920-2000 US Navy. I have pics if you want them.

|C||Eugene W. Hays (Hayes)|
Hi =) It is OK, I collated the information so I could explain it better to you. =) Eugene Hays (106871988) is on burial plot 251 in the Juniper Section of the cemetery. Next to his plot is a Ruth Hays Grain (107470117) born 1892 died 1928. Her headstone says: Mother.
On Eugene's burial plot, is another marker, which they said at the cemetery usually means it is cremated remains buried with family:
Raymond L. Suttles (inscription: Father)
Oct 4 1911 - Aug 13 1993 (107471169)
On Ruth Hays Grain's burial plot, are two more markers:
Ruthi V. Suttles (inscription: Loving Mother and Educator)
May 6, 1923-February 12, 2004 (107470563)
Kevin M. Suttles (inscription: Grandson)
July 27 1950 - Sept 28 1974 (107470719)
I found in some public records Ruthi Violet Suttles was married to a Raymond L. Suttles, and from the dates, I am guessing Kevin M. is their son. I think that would mean Ruthi Violet was born a Hays and married and died a Suttles. I also think Ruth Hays Grain indicates she was born Ruth Grain and died Ruth Hays.
I don't know if any of this is helpful or wanted but I thought it worth sharing. =)

|Farm Girl from MO.||Please remove photo.|
Would you please remove the photo/obituary that you have added to my memorials for Lieut. Larry Duane Vose #41693368 & #94992656 as I have several obituaries for him and have added two to both of his memorials. I thought that I had already added them to his memorial earlier but somehow I must have missed adding them. I do appreciate your adding a different obit. and I did make a copy for my records. Thanks again, Marla M. from MO.

You're welcome. I don't know if you noticed, but in the background of the third photograph is the U.S. Air Force Memorial, which is very fitting and appropriate for this individual, I think.
Here's the website for the memorial:
The website also includes the "Airmen Heritage Archives." Perhaps some of the individuals you are researching are listed there:
The Airmen Heritage Archives, located at the Air Force Memorial and accessible through the world-wide web, is envisioned to be the foremost permanent collection of the day-to-day history of the USAF and its predecessor heritage organizations. Our goal is to preserve individual and organizational military service history so that families, friends and future generations can learn and benefit from the life experiences of America's Airmen.

Lee, sorry I don't have time but did you know Mt Calvary has it's own web site? You might find what you want to know there. Barb
