Thank you so much for the Find A Grave photo of Ida Heffner's tombstone. So often information is gained by seeing the stone. Your pictures offered even more information than I had hoped for. Thanks again

Okay. Yes, I did know about that site as that's how I found my great grandfathers sister a few years ago there. She was Lusinda (Lichty) Schlonecker. It's kind of in a little corner near a tree......has been a long time to remember exactly where it is. I had no idea at the time that I had lots more family there. I have been to over 85 cemeteries in the past 8 years but probably won't be going anymore. I loved doing that! The research is the other thing I like the most.

Kimberly, I went back to see who all I missed. The ones that still do not have photos are as follows: Ida Graver; Elizabeth (Graver) Houck; Edna (Graver) Moyer; and Chester Graver. If you'd like to get those that would be great. I have them all on Find A Grave.

RE: Emma Graver, Katie Leimbach
Yes, I do believe they are all related. I think I have other requests already on for some of them. They were Graver's before marriage I think. I'll have to check my file again. Thank you.
You are doing a good job for just getting started. If you are like me you'll just love going to the cemeteries. I was at Hope a few years ago before I knew who all I was related to. Genealogy never ends. Thanks I live in AL so don't get up very often and maybe not again as I'm getting older.

Go to website findagrave.com, enter Kinsey under cemetery, Berks, Pa. You can also see a map at website Berks County Assoc. for Graveyard Preservation. Search under Alsace township. Point the cursor to number 9 for description.

Sorry to take so long to respond!

I just noticed that the Berks County Association for Graveyard Preservation is planning on cleaning up the site. They did a great job last year and they post updated photos on Facebook! Crazy! That is how my family found them!

So look them up on Facebook and you'll find great photos of many gravesites around Berks County.

Kim,
Do not remove any photos. Different angles and lighting can give extra results.

Reichert-Dum graveyard
Kim,
I see from your bio that you are a new member to findagrave. I also see that you have been exploring the older cemeteries and I wanted to make a few suggestion so as to get you off to a good start.
First and most importantly, be aware that many of the older Berks County cemeteries have different names. Such as Reichert/Dum, there are several variations of Bertolet, Weidner, Schneider, and on and on. Most of the older graveyards have been listed one way or another in findagrave and most have been photographed-so be careful of duplicating both cemeteries and individuals. There are also hundreds of name variations so it's easy to get confused looking to see if a memorial already exists.
I visited the Reichert-Dumm graveyard today. I photographed all the tombstones including some you had not done. Some of which were nor even listed there, which I corrected. I'd like to make a suggestion for your photography. There are persons all over the country and sometimes abroad who look for their ancestors in findagrave. If they're fortunate enough to find them they have to be disappointed if they cannot read the entire tombstone. This is also important for other researchers. Most of your photos are ok but some are difficult to read because of focus problems or obstructions (flags, weeds). The more discernable information, the better for us. It also makes all your effort to find and photograph these tombstones more rewarding.
I seldom give this lecture to others but since you are new and we crossed paths I thought it might be helpful, and I hope well received.
Best wishes,
Neil Scheidt

RE: kuntzi
Hi Kimberly, recently I added Sarah (94035381) the wife of Christian Kuntzi (89377120 and their son John (Johannes) (93982738). They are said to be buried on the Kuntzi Homestead at Oley in Alsace Township, Berks County, Pa. I would also like pictures if the graves can be found. Ernie
