Hi Tarah, would you mind removing your request for a picture in the Lone Jack Cemetery. I'm not sure why it didn't show that it has been fulfilled but by you deleting it is the only thing I can think to do. Thanks! Karen

Abraham Davis Cooper
Hello, Tarah. I just saw your tribute on Abraham's memorial about his obituary, and also on his photo on my family tree on Ancestry. He was the brother of my great great grandfather John Russell Cooper. I have written a book of their family history and genealogy--almost ready to publish-- and I would dearly love to be able a copy of his obituary if there is any way possible. If you can obtain and email me a copy, I would be FOREVER grateful! My email address is terryandfranrogers@yahoo.com. Appreciatively, Fran

Not sure if I am related or not--but its likely. All of the Andrews in Essex are related in some way shape or form, and I am a descendent of one Essex Andrews family on my father's side.

I found another marker within a few feet of William's that was of the same material and vintage as his. I created a memorial for Nancy Dyer. Check it out, it may be one of your Dyers.

Tarah, I haven't traced that line. If you are a member of ancestry.com, I would suggest you post the picture in your tree. If there are descendants, they will find it! If not, I would be happy to post it to mine if you will scan & email it to me. I checked and found no family trees that shows her children ... which doesn't mean there weren't any. Sorry I'm not much help.

This person does not have a grave marker. You can use St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Burials, Book 1, Page 6 for your death source.

If that's the case, then it is the Porter's Cemetery in Pearl River, Louisiana. And checking my notes, I am sorry to report, that I have talked with the record keeper for that cemetery and there is no record of her interment there.

I would check her death certificate, and look for the funeral home that handled her burial. Also, when she died. Maybe they can shed some light on this.

I went out to the other Porter's Cemetery, as I said I would. But, unfortunately, was unable to find the resting place of Margorie Nell Normand Smith. I will attempt to locate the records keeper and see what they can tell me.

I just discovered a second "Porter's Cemetery", a little over 9 miles away from the one I searched in Pearl River. I will make a trip to this other one tomorrow. Cross your fingers!
