RE: Dates for Rena E McKinney Wallace
Thanks for the help. I found the death certificate and I have seen the US Census for 1900 being in error, many times, by adding one year. I guess that will have to be close enough.

Dates for Rena E McKinney Wallace
There is a difference in birth and death dates for Rena E (McKinney) Wallace, #88086505, between what you posted and what is on the grave marker. Where did you get the information for your posted dates?

RE: George O'Neill
I deleted the duplicate of George O'Neill. It would be great if you could transfer George, Lucy Cavanagh and William. Thanks!

McKinney's at Lakeside
I photographed headstones for members of the Harrison & Ruth McKinney family at Lakeside Cemetery in Waupaca. Thought you might want to see them.

RE: Amelia Chase McKinney 94342421
Could you please add that info to her memorial?

Amelia Chase McKinney 94342421
The person who tried to get a photo of Amelia's marker said that the Rienzi Cemetery office did not have her listed in their database. Are you able to look into this matter and make the necessary correction? She is linked to her husband who is buried there, but has no marker. His memorial number is 72986756, Charles McKinney.

What is a cenotaph? How do I have a memorial designated as a cenotaph?

A cenotaph is a tomb or a monument erected in honor of a person or group of persons whose remains are buried elsewhere. It can also be the initial marker for a person who has since been interred elsewhere.
To add a cenotaph, create a memorial just like any other. Then email with a link to the memorial and a message to mark it as a cenotaph. Please only add relationship links to the actual burial memorial, when a cenotaph and an actual burial both exist.

RE: Charles Alan Wright
This is a cousin of my soon to be son-in-law. You do not need to transfer management. After you make the spouse connection to the Maine cemetery memorial, you can delete the Massachusetts memorial.

My Error!
I deeply apologize! Lucy Roberts Nichols is buried in the Turner Roberts Cemetery, not the Union Cemetery. I apoligize for any confusion I may have caused.

Lucy Roberts Nichols-Union Cem. NY
While looking for Bigelows in the Union Cemetery in New York, I looked at Lucy Roberts Nichols, her spouse and her 6-day old child. It did not make sense that she would have died in MARCH but had a child born in APRIL. Upon really looking at her headstone, I can see that she died in MAY. I submitted that as a slight change to "fix stuff."

Thank you also for the extra information about the highway work that resulted in headstones being moved. I wonder how they managed to do that.... probably just did it!

Lucina Burt
hi thanks for the edit on Lucina - do you have a source to add those parents?

I always ask for a resource when parents were born in the 1700's. I wasn't able to find an obit for her.

Went back through records and photocopied the original inquest - it's now posted on the memorial - but still could not locate death certificate or burial details. Sorry to report a partial failure!

Thanks for the input! I'll have a deeper look at the gen. library here and see if I can find out something other than the coroner's report, and will let you know. Keep looking!!

Arnna C. Chase
You mention that Arnna C. Chase's surname is really HAZEN, the first husband of Harriet M. Chase, but until I have more proof I need to go with the cemetery records which is Arnna C. CHASE.

Dale Sheldon
Gideon Sheldon / Rhoda Reynolds
Hey there :) Yes, I knew that she Rhoda was first married to Gideon Sheldon but sadly his grave has never been found for me to link the profiles. I know that he died in Willsborough, NY in 1805 so I assume he is there somewhere. I have added some new biographical info though regarding Gideon and their three children, and also mentioned Orrin Reynolds, son of Rhoda with her 2nd husband. Thanks!

Gramps vs others spelling
The name Gramps appears in Montgomery County, NY. See Find A Grave Gramps entries in NY.

I suggest you search all of NY for the other spellings on Find A Grave.

People spelled these names lots of ways, but, if we want to find and link them to the correct parents, we need to be careful we don't lead people estray.

I have two famous German ancestors, who both
changed their names. Their children used the Americanized names from then on. Gunderman became Countryman, Writtenhausen became Rittenhouse, etc. The name on the tombstone is usually accurate for what they were using when they died.

RE: John Lenaghen
Thanks for the info! I took the photo myself, so I know that it's definitely in Clintonville. I think his family put a memorial there or perhaps he's buried in Clintonville but also appears with his wife in Morrisonville. I added the spelling variation to his memorial and linked him to his wife. I'd like to link him to his parents if they ever appear.

Anna Crouch Hare

Can't believe I didn't link Anna to husband Madison Hare. I searched for her maiden name for about 20 years, discovered "Crouch" not terribly long before listing the Hares on Find A Grave. Managed to link all the children, but forgot parents!

Thanks for the reminder!

RE: Clarissa Ashl;ey Wyman
John - I suggest you go to Find A Grave (see the left side - titled "Action" and then Discussion Forums - point out that woman who entered record is no longer active, you have new and pertinent data, and that some of her data is incorrect (note that she misspelled Clarissa's first name). Some of those who have contributed to that forum have had some success. If all else fails, enter a second record. Jim
