I suggest you call a business that sells tombstones and see what they suggest to repair a monument.

|Bob Carter||Edith Hethcox|
You are correct and I've changed the name. Thanks!
It's been almost a year since her death and no one has come back to enter the DOD on her marker. :-(
Find A Grave contributor DebbieLee (Graveyard Granny) has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Edith Heathcox.

I'm wondering if you have Edith's last name spelled right or is the marker I added to her memorial for another person. Can you please check?

|Rich Kreiss||Ada Comer|
Debbie - Ada was born a Bobbitt. I had heard that she was previously married before being wed to Lester but I never quite knew what her name was then. I had heard it was Phipps or Phelps or something like that. She died before I was born however I remember visiting Lester's home with his second wife on several occasions after church on Sunday's.

|Bill Foster (W.L.Foster )||Davie Co / Forsyth Co Research|
Thanks for getting back to me on this. I found the 1937-1941 Cemetery surveies by My Utley after looking thru Raleigh on line files. Apparantly the survey was done to document older burials whose memorials had weathered away ! Great reading and I would alot of Davie unmarked today burials that in the 1930s and 40s were marked

Pls place an address of Yadkin Valley Rd East of I40 if your using an Advance Davie County---- for the Cemetery with cemetery notes pls note " The now abandoned " Old Douthit Cemetety" burials and Markers were moved to this Cemetery since Survey of 1941 to be made part of the Yadkin Valley Church Cemetery." There is on file in Raleigh and on the internet a 1941 Davie Co Cem Survey by My Charles Utley listing the OLD Douthit Cemetery with the burials that were moved. In reading the obituary for Clyde, I see no mention of a son, Ronald G. Cheek either as surviving or deceased. Do you happen to know why? Ronnie was married to my sister.

|Beverly Stanley||Good to hear from you|
Debbie it was good to hear from you. You are so lucky to still have your mom here. I wish my mom had tried harder to stay with my and my dad and boys. I am an only child and have always been bothered by the fact I have no siblings.
My 3 sons and I are very close to my parents. They lived 2 doors down from me and have been my whole world my entire life. She was a second mom to my boys.
My ex-husband and I split about 6 years ago and my parents were/are the only grandparents my boys had. Sometimes I hear her or feel her touch. It has been a hard 8 months. I appreciate all you do for find a grave.
Debbie do one thing for me hug your mom everyday and be thankful to have her. My mom was my best friend and my safety net. I am lost without her. I love my dad with my whole heart but he is not my mom.. Never take for granted the time you have with your mom.
Thanks Debbie and I am glad you enjoyed the beach. I live in Bolivia and I really appreciate your putting my mom on find a grave. My next thing is to buy her a head stone.
Please keep in touch.
