Pam, if you know the info for George I can link that to Aunt Adelaide's memorial. Do you know where he's buried? Thanks!

John Geiger
John Geiger is my 5th great grandfather. Could you post the longitude/lattatude of the grave. You can get it on Google Earth, lower right corner. Just remember the lattitude is a minus number. Example, Sandy Run is [33:47:58 ; -80:57:50]

RE: Geiger-Murff
It's all the same person. Maybe the Murph spelling is an "Americanized version", since the memorial was placed so many years after her death.
I just so appreciate your kindness for taking, posting the photos. That's the treasure to me! Many of my Texas ancestor's graves were plowed up, prior to laws changing. Other sites were never designated by property owners & trod over by cattle. Some were buried on their 1829 Mexican Land Grants that was "condemmed" by the Gov for the building of a military post/POW camp in 1942. 50,000 acres confiscated @ $4-9.00 an acre. After the war, it was offered back to the original owners descendants at abt 10 x the price paid 4 yrs before! These folks had inherited their gr grandparents land, had farmed it for 113 years! Houses, barns, outbuildings & fencing had all been bulldozed. The State gobbled some 12,000 for a National Guard training center.

Thank you, again. I appreciate it very, very much!
