Thank you for your work in the Bethany Cemetary
in Houston County. I am related to all the Jones/Lockhart/Riley families buried here. Would you please add photos of headstones to these families?
Jessie Lockhart Riley is my mother.

Samuel James
Joseph, just wanted to let you know that I did notice the difference in the death date on the tombstone. I put a not on the memorial for Samuel so all could see why I left it as Nov 17, 1939. I do believe that an error was made on the tombstone.

Again thanks for the photo.

Many thanks for the links to ~

The memorials for Pauline Tarpley's parents! I'm partial to the memorials of those children of whatever age who never made it to adulthood & it's particularly rewarding when I'm able to link their memorials to those of their parents, since that's one of the few ways I can make their memorials more complete!

Thanks again.

You are welcome, Sir. I knew it just had to be a system problem to duplicate it 4 times.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods,

RE: James and Amanda
Hello Joseph - thanks for your prompt response as to the source of the information. I will probably be looking at the book when I next get here - or when I get to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.

Thanks for the offer of management, but as I am not a direct relative, I will leave the memorials in your capable hands. James and Amanda are my husband's great great great grandparents. You will notice that I linked one of their sons (my husband's great great grandfather) to their memorial.

And I will make the contact you suggest to ask about the marker - James and Amanda have at least one child buried in this cemetery - Susan Mullins.

Thanks again

James and Amanda Ross Kennedy
Thank you for your recent posting James Kennedy and Amanda Ross Kennedy (memorial # 106661323 and # 106661259.) I did not know where they were buried until I found your posting. I had been searching in Montgomery and Dickson counties - because that is where some of their children ended up. Eventually I would have looked at Stewart county, but this has been much much faster.

I have added a picture for Amanda - unfortunately, I don't have a picture for James.

I was wondering if you could give me the source of their birth and death dates for both of them. If it is from a marker in the cemetery, I will add a request for photos.

Thanks for all of your work on findagrave. Amazing what you can find on this site! A first cousin that our family had lost track of in the 1950s found me because I posted her mother on findagrave. Check out memorial # 20550350.

Thanks again

Kim

Regarding Plainview, Tennessee ~

in the Death Certificate for Mrs Sarah Bryant Lee, it is listed as a village in M
It's probably a lot like a small community in my home area of Montana, many years ago called Ridgelawn by the locals: There were only about 4 families living there for many, many years, but still everyone knew it as Ridgelawn.

Roe Lane
Sarah Sallie Vandiveer Murphey
Concerning Sallie's maiden name. The only Sally Flood I could find in th 1850 Robertson Co. TN census was Sally Flood married to Dewd Flood. Sally was 18 years old and Dewd was 21. In the 1870 census they were still married His name was spelled Duett and they still lived in Robertson Co. From what I can find Sarah's middle name was Vandiveer and I had it incorrect in the Find A Grave memorial. I have always found her to be a Murphey but could not be 100% sure of it as have never found a document directly linking her. She was a very interesting person having been married at least four times and in her later years was a midwife who delivered many babies in the Leatherwood Asbury area of Stewart County in the 1900 to 1912 period. Thanks for the input.

I don't want you to have to make a 2nd trip so to save the 2nd trip I have cropped the car out of the photo. Look and see what you think.

Lelia Yarbrough McFall correction
Thank you for your suggestion about Lelia's birth year. We had taken the year 1870 from her death certificate where the information had been given by her son, Jim. I changed the date to agree with the tombstone but also put a note as to what the death certificate says. Her tombstone date agrees more closely with all of the census records.

Averitt Cemetery Corrections
Joseph,

I have made the additions you sent me, thanks for those! There are two remaining I'm not sure about:
Arthur P Hassell is listed in my book as
"HASSELL, A.P., born 5 May 1865, died 16(?) 1922."
Considering the question mark they put there it might have been hard to read. Did your book say a different year?

Henry Y Seals is listed in my book as
"SEALS, Henry, son of A.W. and M.S., born and died 27 August 1863."
If your book says 1883, I'm not sure how to know which is correct unless someone could look for the marker. I don't live near Dickson County, so I will put in a request, maybe we can get a photo and determine which is correct.

Thanks,

Mary Ann

Thanks for taking the time & effort to go out and get the photo that I requested. It is very much appreciated.

I appreciate that you got to know me a little and made the lovely offer regarding Ludwig memorials. I do not, however, have any Ludwig family in that area of the country.

Thank you,
Gail

Thank you so much for ~

the very informative obituaries for both William Henry Phillips and Terry Wayne Ruffin, & both have now been added to their respective memorials, minus, of course, references to anyone still living (except for the religious officiants).

I now have several virtual cemeteries for those of my memorials without birth dates, so that I can go back from time to time trying to locate that information so that my memorials can be more complete.

your own efforts in this regard are very refreshing.

Many thanks.
