|Pattie Ford||RE: Alma E|
Thank you so much for doing that for me!!! Just one more question and that is are you sure of the day on birth and death (meaning Sept 9 1861
Oct 19 1897). Just trying to make sure that is what it has inscribed on stone, as I had Sep 5 1891 and Oct 15 1897 from transcribed records.
Don't mean to be a pain or put you on the spot, put I am trusting your eyes rather than transcribed records.
Just so you know, Alma's husband (Joseph Sater), mother and father in law (Thomas Sater and Elizabeth "Davenport" Sater), sister in law (Lyida "Sater" Elliot)and her and Joseph's daughter (Nellie A "Sater" Conklin)are all buried in Salem cemetery, I would have though that they would have been buried in same area. I am just really disappointed there are no markers for some of them .
Anyway have a good day and thank you for everything.
ps may I have your permission to post the photos that you have taken there in Salem cemetery of the family on my family tree??

|Pattie Ford||Alma E "Eades" Sater|
I would like to thank you for your time in getting the photo of Alma's grave marker, I really appreciate it! I am so sorry your were not able to find grave markers for Lydia, Robert Elliott or Joseph Sater, perhaps there are no markers. Do you know if the cemetery has a phone number that I could call?
Did you happen to notice any dates on the marker of Alma's? I saw that the photo that you took was of the top of the stone, but not the front. The burial records have that Alma died in 1897, but I found her a live in 1900 and in 1910 her husband was a widow. So I believe the burial records are in error, that she died aft 1900 but bef 1910. Hoping that you might have noticed anything that would help me.

|Cindy Sloan||RE: Texas Daniels|
Thanks so much for transferring and updating the memorials.
I have noticed a couple of people in my own family who were named Texas. I've also seen some named Missouri (along with the more-common, Georgia). I don't know why, perhaps some significance to US expansion, since it was admitted the same year as Florida (I've seen that name too!)
With your family buried at Kynesville, and the surname Melvin, I am sure we have a connection somewhere. Most of the Melvin surnames I have married into my families (Herrington, Daniels, Swearingen).
I've photographed all of Kynesville Methodist, in case you need any photos.
>>>>Cindy, I transferred the memorial for Texas Anna Daniels to you and made the additional information to other memorials you suggested. Thank you for completing these memorials. I love the contributors of Find A Grave!
I do have a question for you. My GG grandfather is Ephraim Posey Melvin and many ancestors are buried in the Kynesville Cemetery alongside yours. One of his children is named Texas Gayhill and we have always wondered about the significance of this name. Since your GG grandmother is named Texas and your maiden name is Gay, I wonder if you know of any family connections or friendships that could shed some light on this?
Thanks and have a wonderful day!<<<<

|Gerald "Jerry" Hobson||RE: Bernice Cowgill, Shiloh Cemetery|
Orla C. Cowgill, Bernice's husband, is buried at Sunset Memory Garden Mausoleum, presumably with his second wife, Betty, although there is no indication yet that she has passed on. He died in 1978.
