Joseph & Sarah Shumacker Fergusion
Joseph & Sarah are my 2nd Great Grandparents. Susan Ada Fergusion is my Great Grandmother. I have a portrait that is of one of Susan's brothers. When I get a chance I will email a copy of it to you. Maybe you will be able to identify who it is. It used to hang in Susan's house.

Annie's Parents are:

Frederick Eichorn
Louisa Steuber

After Frederick died
Louisa married Adolph Haning.

My Wife comes from Katherine Eichorn,
Annie's Sister. So I have been working on that line.

Bob Wissinger
RE: Catherine Deeter Wissinger
Allan, only a little per the following:

From: Old and New Westmoreland, Vol 4, pg 1190, by John Newton Boucher, Fenwick Y. Hedley

Samuel Wissinger , grandfather of Henry Franklin Wissinger, first appears as a resident of Cambria county, Pennsylvania, and as a proprietor of the first hotel in Johnstown. On leaving Cambria county, Mr. Wissinger went to Somerset county, and there for a number of years devoted himself to the cultivation of a farm of one hundred and twenty-five acres. His next removal was to Cook township, Westmoreland county, whither he went with his son Joseph. In politics Mr. Wissinger was a democrat, and in religion a strict and active Dunkard. Mr. Wissinger married (first) _____ Berkery, and their children were: Joseph B., mentioned below; William, Jonathan, and Harrison. He married (second) Mrs. Stahl, a widow, becoming by this union the father of a son Harmon and a daughter whose name has not come down to us.

So, Catherine was married to a STAHL before she married Samuel.

RE: Harman Wisinger
Hi Allan, it's nice to met you and you are welcome for the info. I try to update Wissinger memorials when I can.

I assume you are the son of Bruce Miller and Rosalynn Ferguson. Your grandmother, Ruth and me are not directly related but we share a common ancestor namely, Ludwig Wissinger who is the progenitor of most Wissinger's in the US.

If you're interested in any Wissinger history and have some information posted at Wissinger.com

Regards and take care,
Bob

RE: Harman A. & Margaret C. Wissinger
I was out at the Stahlstown Cemetery looking for some of the Wissinger requests, and climbing through that rhododendron bush. I wish the cemetery maintenance people would do some trimming. I wasn't meaning to replace the photos that someone else took, just thought I might have been lucky enough to catch a better image. I used a little white chalk (which I know is discouraged by findagrave) on Harman's stone to try to better read the inscription. I found a footstone in the bushes that has "S. W." on it, but don't know if it is Samuel's or not. I plan to go out there again one day soon and have another look at those stones. You're welcome for the photos. I'm glad to hear from you and that you approved! Barbara

Miller-Maust-Wissinger
Hi Allan,

I am descended from Miller, Mast's and have some Wissinger's intermarried into earlier families. I see that some of them are the same families.

You can contact me through my email on my Find A Grave site.

Thanks,

Buddy Wiegand #47967596

Hi Allan,

I have not walked this burial ground. I'd need to double check, but I'm pretty sure I created this cemetery. Based on my research this was as accurate a location as I could get, it should be pretty close. At this point, I'd talk to some of the local people. I have visited some of these local cemeteries, and it was usually the local people to could direct me to the actual location.

Sincerely,
Glen

P.S. If my plotting for the cemetery is not correct, let me know and I'll update it (if it can still be found).

Allan,

There is a map right on the site that shows where the cemetery is. Just click on the map tab. I corrected the cross streets in the info; apparently it is at Ruby and Riffith, not Ruby and Penrod.

Can you please note that Sarah Peck Maust is the second wife of Abraham Maust. His first wife (my ggg grandmother) was Mary Magdalena Longenecker. They were married in approximately 1816 or 1817.
