RE: Simril / Simerly family
Hey cousin! I am in North Carolina. I would like to get to Tennessee sometime soon and do some "Hunting" for family. I am in the process of moving but will be back in touch when I dig up some more info.

RE: Simril / Simerly family
What an interesting story. Aren't families funny sometimes. You may have noticed another contributor Nancy & Gary Clampitt on the Simril memorials. She was a closer connection to you. I met her on find a grave and she was great. Just wanted to let you know that she passed away suddenly last year. (Just in case you tried to write/ or contact her and got no response- you would know why) She was descended from your Hugh Simril connection (her 2nd great grandfather). Anyway, I am keeping your info and will keep in touch if anything interesting. Please feel free to ask me any questions too!

Simril / Simerly family
HI!! So excited to hear from you. We are connected as cousins (distant, but definately a family connection). I mainly started working on this site to locate Simril family members. I was susrpised the name changed to Simerly. I wonder how that happened! I see you are new to find a grave. Let me know if you want me to transfer "Mangement" of the memorials over to you so that you can make edits, or if you want me to do any edits, just let me know. I am descended from James & Violet Simril, through their son James (brother to your Francis Simril), his son Milos, then Robert, Robert, Robert, and then my grandmother Rose Simril Huneycutt. Please let me know if you have any questions. I have a bunch more info that I hoped to get added soon on the earlier lines.

I do have a question for you. When I went to look up your grandmother, I saw a Cora Mullenax Simerly who was married to a Rev. Samuel E. Simerly, she was also buried in Blount County. Do you know who Samuel Simerly is and his parents? Find A Grave Memorial# 47446405
