|j sutherland||Margaret prentice|
Do you have any info about Margaret Prentice's parents.?. my mother's middle name was Prentist. Margaret is the first person with the surname of Prentice I have found. There must be more Prentices since Margaret is the wife of my 3rd great grand uncle. Where there more Prentices who married into the Worley family? I had noted either Solomon, James or Thomas as possible fathers, but I can't find a connection. I am related through Johann Michael Worley and Mary Martin.

You are a gem for this site.
I found my Ancestor Eunice who married John after I think a divorce from my direct connection to her. It was in pieces and bad shape but I could read her stone. I took pictures and it was already on Find A Grave when I found this site.
I was back there last year and the stone is buried. I dug it out. She is buried with her daughter and Her daughter Mary's stone is broken and not going to last. All you can see is "Wife of" and below. By then I knew who the wife of was but .... darn.
Thank you for this transfer. I am going to TRY to do him Justice.
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH

|Terry Atkinson||John Ridste|
I am trying to fulfill your photo request. For some reason he wasn't in the historical society's cemetery records. Did find him in a local funeral home records and confirmed he is in the Lewistown cemetery. Will have to try the city office Tuesday.
The funeral home's record indicates John was born in Wangruelders, Norway. Have found that place names can change, so could be the same place you have but thought I would let you know.
Do you know if he had a relative named Jerome? There is a Jerome Ridste buried in Denton, Mt.

I come off of Jennie Burraston Starr's line. my Grandmother Inez Star/my mother Linda Bird Greene. We are looking for information about William McMillian Thompson who was Emma Price Burrastons first husband. Are there any histories about him or pictures of the burrastons that you may have? I have very few pictures of my Grandma and Aunt Anna Starr when they were younger. Someone recently contacted me and found some, but pictures didn't have names on them. The kids belonged to Emma Price Burraston.
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org please let me know if you have any information on this family. We would like to know the names on the pictures.

Your welcome. I am writing a book about Cerro Gordo township in Lac qui Parle. I am identifying who lived on which farm site since the beginning of the county.
This is quite a far stretch. In 1882, Gurine and John Ridste were married and lived on a farm in Cerro Gordo. Do you know what farm site? Do you know when they left to go to Riverside township in Lac qui Parle county?

Your welcome. Were you aware that her grand daughter was Carol Landis of hollywood fame?
Carole Landis (January 1, 1919 - July 5, 1948
Landis was born Frances Lillian Mary Ridste in Fairchild, Wisconsin. Her mother, Clara (née Stentek), was a Polish farmer's daughter. A Time magazine article published the month of her death identifies her father as a "drifting railroad mechanic"; according to a 2005 biography, the mother was married to Norwegian Alfred Ridste, who abandoned the family before Landis was born, and it was Charles Fenner, her mother's second husband, who most likely was Landis' biological father. She was the youngest of five children, two of whom died in childhood. Her early years were filled with poverty and sexual abuse.
In January 1934, 15-year-old Landis married her 19-year-old neighbor, Irving Wheeler, but the marriage was annulled in February 1934. They later remarried on August 25, 1934. Wheeler named Busby Berkeley in an alienation of affections lawsuit in 1938 involving Landis, and they divorced in 1939.

I am a distant relative. When I add a name to my tree, I like to check to see if they are in Find A Grave and if all of the information is correct. If possible, I like to get parents, spouses and children linked. I always feel as though they are brought back together again. It makes it much easier for people in the future to trace their roots.
Thanks for your quick response, I really appreciate it!
