|Graveyard Guardians||Grave in the middle of the road|
I am related to the Daniel G Doty that sat on his grandmother's grave to keep them from moving it. I am also a professional cemetery preservationist/restorationist. If the grave in the middle of the road had not been properly excavated and reburied within a few years the graves would have been exposed by weather and erosion. This needed to be done. Believe me, Jeannie Regan-Dinius at the DNR Div of Historic Preservation did not and would not allow them to do anything that was not needed. She is on it! Great gal!!! Lorraine Doty

Thanks for the note regarding the cemetery's policy on taking photos. I would have surely walked in and asked for help to locate a burial. Hopefully, it wont be too difficult finding loved ones for others.

Coni, I live in Corona and used to be available to photograph Headstones at Sunnyslope, but like you know they are the worst, I have found the below link and am trying to message the people that are requesting photos, I have also quoted your response to requests if you don't mind.
Sunnyslope has the worst property management team there and must hate Genealogy, because like the person trying to fulfill your picture request said, "Manager of cemetery states for privacy of family they refuse to allow persons to photograph the headstones even when requested on the Find A Grave site. Requires proof of family relationship be faxed to office then they will allow the family member to come and take photo. Refuses to tell me where anyone is buried specifically."
But the Corona genealogy society did a walk and had documented, photographed and made a book of results.
Here is the link to the page on that page is a link to request pictures.

Thanks for letting us know about the cemetery's policy. I guess they have their reasons. It is California--I used to live there.

Thank you for trying to get a headstone photo for Marsha Woods. It seems more cemeteries are putting restrictions on giving information about burial sites. I appreciate you taking time to do this for me.

Thank you for taking the time to attempt a photo of my family member's grave stone.
I makes no sense for the cemetery to ask for proof of lineage to be faxed, then only the family member can photograph the stone. Ridiculous.
I am quite a ways from where they are buried, he and his wife. I am related to Hallie, she is my Great Grandmother's sister. Sad that some of the cemeteries don't understand how FG works. Thank you for your efforts again. I will just let it go as I have no family there there.

Thank you very much for trying to get a photo of his grave.

Hello again Coni,
I guess I should have looked at the cemetery description as it has something like what they told you listed in their description. I am so sorry for sending you. I normally do not look at that but I will from now.

Thank you so much for trying to get the cemetery marker for Sal. I appreciate you doing this. I did not know the cemetery was so hateful, so sorry for you to go through this. I still appreciate you!
Rob Blew (YankeeGraver)
PS. wonder if this should be listed in the cemetery description so others won't experience the same treatment.

No, Coni, I did not know all that about your fascinating great aunt! :) Thanks for sharing that information. Imagine all that history wrapped up in one ancestor! I'm glad I was able to fill in a little bit for you and provide you with a current photo. Wishing you continued success with your ancestral research. ~Maureen

when you send a link from husband to wife, don't also send one from wife to husband, they will either cancel each other out or double link, causing Ghost links"

|Sandi Litzenberg||ok.. so..|
here is what I'm going to do, I will load my photos to this Lewis Rose because this was actually the first memorial created for him. I've contacted the other memorial creator and asked him to delete his. I have pics of the entire Rose Family plot that I will load to all the first Roses entered at East Amboy.. so search the cemetery page for Rose and all the memorials created for them will be listed for you..

|Sandi Litzenberg||Lewis Rose|
there are two memorials created for Lewis Rose at East Amboy.. and one of them already has a photo loaded to it.. but I can verify that his stone does state 1929.. I will see if there is a photo loaded for his wife Amelia yet and if not I will load the pic of their shared marker to her memorial.. As a photo contributor, Find A Grave tries to discourage having more than one memorial per person. Therefore I must honor the first memorial that was created.
