Hi Dick,

Source for the Richard Cook bio included:

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=bellsa&id=I6660

You will have to cut and paste this into your address box as one cannot send links through Find A Grave messages.

Hope this helps.

Lynn

RE: William Russell Vaughan # 51821894
Hi Richard,

I'm afraid I don't know much else about the Vaughans, other than what I have on their memorials.

I enjoyed reading the information you added to Dr. Morris' Find A Grave memorial. I am familiar with the names of several of the pallbearers.

Though it is no longer true, Fee Fee was at one time the cemetery of the St. Louis elite. There are many lawyers, doctors, CEOs, politicians and very early pioneer settlers buried there. The names of those interred there read like a roadmap of St. Louis County street names. Several others have towns and/or school districts named after them.

If you have additional information on members of the Vaughan family that you would like me to consider adding to their memorials, please feel free to send it using the Edit Tab on that particular memorial. I am always interested in enhancing the quality of my memorials!

Forget about the message I was going to scan for Walt came up with correct info - quote - I googled 41st Regiment, Missouri Volunteer Infantry and clicked on Secretary of State on the menu that came up. It was an alphabetical list of members of the unit, including Casper Lohman. The guess work was right on this time.

I contacted Walt McQuie who did a LOT of work on this project. This is what he wrote - "I count 4 others on the Mo. Digital Heritage list. I think 2 are duplicates - both in same outfit and both mustered in at Elm Springs, Ark. That left one in artillery and one in infantry and unless I find where I saw his obit I assume I picked infantry as most likely. Will be glad to change our recrods if there is other proof." Will keep your query in mind and if I can come up with something more will be in touch. Marj
