RE: George Parker
I am sorry you don't agree.

I still see people uploading poor quality photos that are low resolution, out of focus, unreadable, with poor lighting in 2016.

(I am not suggesting someone upload an 8 meg photos, I am just pointing out that the limit is 8 meg in case they didn't know - and many of them do not know.)

Frank Opel 108780711
It says Frank Opel has wives Anna Opel and Margaret Opel, but I think Margaret is incorrect. I don't have any records of their marriage. It also says she was born 52 years after Frank, so highly unlikely.

Sorry but that is not a memorial that I manage. It's actually one that you created and there is not a maiden name on it.

RE: Temperance Cassidy
Yes, I am working on that family and she is the 3rd great grandmother of a granddaughter-in-law. I would very much like for the memorial to be transferred to me. Thanks for offering. As for Caroline, I will be in the area next spring and will look at the tombstone in person and might be able to find more in that local area.

RE: Temperance Cassidy
Hi, Thanks for finding and removing the Caroline Brown - that was my mistake.
I am comfortable that the Perry Brown we are talking about is the father of Elizabeth Temperance Brown.
I found Elizabeth Temperance Cassidy's (and her first, middle and last name is on the death certificate) Indiana Death Certificate naming parents as Perry Brown b. Tennessee and Caroline Wease b. Pike Co., Indiana.
Perry Brown and Caroline Wease were married 18 Mar 1849 in Pike Co., Indiana. (Indiana Marriage Records)
Several Family Trees on Ancestry (and I admit family trees are not always correct) list Perry Brown b. 4 Jan 1821 and d. 15 June 1860 with his spouse listed as Caroline Wease. The dates match the one on Find-A-Grave. These list his parents as Stephen R. Brown and Temperance Austin. Hence, Elizabeth's middle name, Temperance, which is not a really common name.
I have no problem in your deleting the information if you are not comfortable with it.

It appears I somehow made a mistake on that edit request for Gilbert Peter Lottes. Sorry about that.

Are you familiar with Lottes genealogy in Dubois County Indiana?

Thanks Allen. This is getting close. I figured it was only a matter of time before our family trees intersected in Dubois county.

RE: Pansy Thorn Reel
Absolutely. Like I said, I have just been going back each generation of my father's family and then trying to trace the lines forward as far as I can. I am working on the James Allen Smith line right now and of course, I have the Joshua Allen Smith line already done, since he is my direct 4th great grandfather. I have been entering all the information I have and documenting everything that I can find on my family tree in ancestry and also trying to find the grave records and make them as up-to-date as possible. If I can help in any way I am glad to do it. I would love information on the Moses Smith line. I'm not quite there yet, but I will let you know when I am. Thank you so much for you help.

RE: Pansy Thorn Reel
Only very distantly. Ancestry.com says she is my 4th Cousin, 2 times removed. My maiden name is Smith. I have been going back one generation at a time and then trying to research that generation as far forward as I can. So for Pansy I started with James Allen Smith and Sarah Cutright. Their daughter Sarah "Sallie" Smith married William Earl Kirk and their daughter was Rachel Jane Kirk who married Thomas Curren Barekman. Their daughter Isabelle H. Barekman married William Finney Thorne and they are Pansy's parents.

My 4th great grandfather is Joshua Allen Smith, the brother of James Allen Smith.

Thank you so much for all of your photography. You have made this task so much easier and I appreciate all of your diligent work.
