You're right. It hasn't been.
Not sure what I could do; there really needs to be another memorial entered. I'll keep studying it.

She may very well be. Let me check with a cousin. Nancy, Margaret, and Sarah (my 3rd GG) were all sisters. Thanks. I have her spouse as David Cornelius King.

Thank you for the reminder to connect these two on Find-a-grave as spouses.
Are you, by chance, related to them?

Yes, I sent that information to Phyllis, who created that memorial, a few years ago hoping that she would see her mistake and correct it but evidently she was not interested enough to bother. That's why I created two new pages for these people with the correct information. The Alanson Gibbs who was married to Sophronia Gaylord is buried in Whiteside County, Illinois and his Find A Grave # is 102007544.

RE: Find A Grave#116159953, Sophronia (MAIN) GIBBS, I'm still confused; In her BIO about 3 lines up from the bottom of her pic. her SEVEN children are listed. Then across from the Cemetery pic. Another list of TEN different children. Did she marry twice??
The list of ten children at the bottom of her bio is the children of Joseph & Jane Main and includes Sophrona with her siblings (brothers and sisters. I edited it so that it might be easier to understand.

If you ever resolve Alta's parentage and if she was a granddaughter of Willard & Patience (Main) Gibbs, the line I have extends back to Greenwich, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts where Willard was born in 1795. His parents were: Benjamin Gibbs and Mary/Mercy Sears, his grandparents were Jesse Gibbs and Esther Powers and his great grandparents were Thomas Gibbs and Sarah Woolcott.

Yes, there was another "Alanson" Gibbs who was married to a "Sophrona Gaylord" who are buried at Lyndon cemetery in Whiteside County, IL. This was an entirely separate family. I have tried to contact the person who created these memorials to inform her of this error but she ignores my attempts to contact her. I have also requested that she transfer management to me so that I can correct these mistakes but she refuses! These are not the only mistakes she has made. It's very frustrating and Find A Grave administrators refuse to do anything about it. I have numerous relatives buried at Blood's Point and this "grave hog" who deems herself an historian is holding them for her own greedy pleasures. She is not the only person on Find A Grave who does this either. This old country cemetery has been vandalized several times over the years and now the memory of these folks has been blackened by people on Find A Grave who just don't care!

I found there marriage data on familysearch.org It does not show the actual marriage record, you would have to write to the courthouse in Kansas to get a copy of that. Here is the link so that you can see what I found:
