Thank you so much for the excellent photograph of Rose Parysek's monument. Rose was born in Czechoslovakia in 1885 and immigrated to the USA in 1912. She raised her family in Oakdale, Ca. Her brother,Joseph was my wife's great grandfather. We are still searching for his grave site somewhere near Colfax, Ca.

Not sure where Melvin, IL is exactly, will have to look that up. My husband's family is all from Calhoun Co, Illinois, but that's not to say that there isn't a connection between your Dixons and his. Such a common name it is taking a lot of work to find them all. Thank you again for your help in furthering the project!

HI Gail and thank you so much for your efforts to post photos of these graves for me - I truly appreciate it. Sorry for the delay in thanking you, also - had issues with my computer, but am now back in business and trying to catch up. Thanks again on behalf of myself and other family members!

Thank you so much for posting the pictures of the stones of my friend's parents! She was so happy to receive the info I've gathered for her on her ancestors when we met earlier today. I told her I had requested pix and showed her how to ask for some in NE too.

I will try to find a listing for the Ludlow Cemetery at the local historical society. They may have walked this cemetery when some of these stones were legible.
I'll let you know if Charles Petersen is among them.

Thank you so much for the prompt response for pictures. I was amazed at how quickly you responded...
Do you live in Oakdale? I spent one year there in the third grade...one of the happiest years of mine and my families life. Cora (my great grandmother) used to take us to church in a little golf cart...shows how small the town was in 1964...still can remember the smell of the library.
