RE: Petty Family Cemetery
there is a map of cemeteries in cherokee county at the family history center. If you will call during the hours of 10-6 on tuesday and thursday and 6 -9 on wed there should be some one at the family history center to check the map for the petty cemetery location. I keep forgetting to chech when i am there. Make sure you are speaking with someone in the family history center when you request the data.
the phone is 864-489-2615
Keith is there on thursday mornings . sorry i have meant to do this and remember it when i look at your request. the library is open to the public and you are welcome to come to the library and use the facilities. there is no charge other than the cost of copies.

Hi Janet - I just made the transfer to you. Sorry I didn't get it done sooner, but I've been sick for a couple of days and haven't checked any of my emails. So happy Mr. Robinson has found his family.
Have a great weekend!

It was my pleasure, Janet. We come to Old Forge a few times each summer, and when I saw there were requests for Riverview, I knew I had to go see if I could find them. Luckily I did. My daughter even spotted the back of the stone that had your Uncle Art's military stone.. we almost missed it!
Best wishes,
John

Re: James Robinson
Hi Janet - I will be more than happy to add the information you provided, but if you would like for me to transfer the memorial I will be glad to. I am not related and I would much rather people be reunited and maintained by their own families so that information can be added or corrected at their convenience. I don't mind at all to add any information to memorials, but there's nothing that can compare to family. Just let me know what you would like for me to do. Have a great day, Bobbi Long

Rivesville. You took a picture of Jacob G. Bragg. He is a Confederate soldier. Could you provide GPS Coordinates for the Thorne Cemetery? This would be helpful for a Marion County Hist Society project.

I noticed in my directions to this cemetery that I said on the right hand side of the road .2 from the curve... this should read on the left.

RE: Transfers
Use the edit tab on one of the memorials and send the list in that request, send names too that way I can double check and make sure I'm sending the right ones :)

I don't live far from Monongah. I am actually hoping to get back to some of these overgrown cemeteries in the fall or winter when the bramble has died.

RE: Shavers Cemetery
Yes, it is past Grove on Tower Hill. you would go around the curve about .2 mile there is a lane through the field on the right hand side of the road. follow that lane to the smaller of the 2 barns (the one to the right of the lane), the cemetery is beside this barn. You can see it from the road but you really have to know there is a cemetery there since it is trees and bramble. You can also see Shaver cemetery from Grove cemetery, again, if you know it's there. Also, the land owner says this is Leeper cemetery but it also known as King cemetery.
Sorry to hear that you've been under the weather :( if you make it back to WV, let me know and I can take you to the cemetery if my directions are confusing, I'm not very good at directions.

Janet,

Thank you for your efforts in attemptng to fulfill my photo request for Betty Kohli. I have made a notation on her memorial to reflect your findings. I really appreciate you taking the time to look for her. So sad not to have a marker.

RE: Shavers Cemetery
Which Shaver cemetery? There are 2 listed in Marion county and I have photographed both of them. In both, I photographed all of the stones. The older one has many stones that are destroyed.
