RE: Kincaid correspondence
Got your message, Sandra. The problem lies in the fact that you cannot link parents to children on the parents' page. Parents can only be linked on each child's memorial. Once each child has been linked to his/her parents, the links will show on both the child's and the parent's memorials.

When I looked at the info placed on Hub's memorial, I found that I manage the three girls' memorials, so I linked them to their parents. When you visit Hub & Ophelia's memorials now, you will see their three daughters linked.

This process if very difficult to explain, so I hope I didn't completely confuse you. Since the manager of Hub's memorial didn't manage those of the girls, he did all he could do to show the girls as Hub's daughters.

Hope this is "clear as mud". Let me know if you need anything else.

Blessings! Janie

Hi, I just saw your email address and took this conversation off the wall and sent you an email. It might have gone to junk mail since I'm not in your contacts! :)

Hi, I'm glad I could help! I processed a Bruner here in northern California, followed his family bunny trails and saw that the whole family didn't have a single flower on their sites, so I left "flowers" on all their sites, and sent the one edit to you. I hope this triggers a series of discoveries and energy for you! Happy hunting!

Besides, I may be a native Californian, but in reality consider myself a Texas girl. My dad was born and reared in Round Rock and Tyler, I have lots of family alive and buried around Georgetown, Amarillo, Tell, Childress, Grayson County, Dallas, even San Antonio. The big state park in central Texas - Ft. Griffith State Park - used to be my great granddaddy's longhorn ranch and the big stone house there was his home (later the park headquarters) and he is still buried in the park.

Re: William Curtis Bolton
I didn't have any other info. But after receiving your message, I did a quick search and found his death certificate. So I'm going to email it to you at the email address you have listed on your FindAGrave profile.

Hope this helps a little.

Dear Sandra;

I wish I was kin, I do love the hunt, but I am afraid I just live in the area and documented all of Rosedale Cemetery one grave at a time.

I hope you don't mind but I found a copy of the article documenting the hanging of Perry and William Melton and I added it. I read through several of the graves of the Melton's and I found it fascinating. I am researching several families but I love any history of Union Parish.

RE: Guy's page
I have been searching for 25 years trying to locate all of the songbooks that my grandfather published when Central Music Co. was in Hartford, AR and after they moved to Little Rock in 1912. I am in the process of scanning all of the books that I have collected to send to the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Dollywood, TN,you can go to their home page and look for Hall of Fame inductees and read about my grandfather Will M Ramsey. As I am scanning and find things of interest I go to Ancestry and do some research mainly in the census. My grandfather taught singing in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and he knew most of the writers for they were his students. He was born in Belton, Bell County, Texas in 1872.
Merry Christmas

Lee Mack was my sister-in-law's cousin. I talked to the funeral home. They told me there was no burial, so I just did what I always do in that case---I put him in the same cemetery with Homer & Allie (parents) with cremation notation! He was a 1st cousin.

Thanks so much for your work at F-a-G. I figured you were going to add it all when the obit came out. Appreciate you!

Thank you!
I am Lela M Stringer Dooley's great granddaughter, and Cornella E. Wheeler Stringer's 3Great Granddaughter. I just wanted to say thank you for all that you are doing. It is pretty neat to be able to get on this website, and go back so many generations. It is appreciated :-)

Sandra, I do not manage Mr. Wayne Moore's memorial. In order to get him linked to his parents, it would be best to contact the manager/owner of his memorial and ask her to link him to his parents (Charles Moore - 24930275; Emma Moore - 24930277). That should get it done.

If for some reason you get no response from the owner/manager, let me know and I'll add him to the bio section of his parents' memorials just so he'll be there!

Blessings, Janie

You're right, women are more difficult to find once they marry because most records do not include maiden names. Death certificats are good sources for maiden names as well as marriage records but oft times even they don't list the maiden name or the names of the women's parents.

I've added the memorials you listed but I did not list Matilda as Reuben's mother as she passed away before Reuben was born. The 1930 census for Sabine Parish and lists Ella Melton as Reuben's mother.

Your Sister
I will be more than happy to transfer your sisters memorial to you. Please go to her memorial, click on the edit tab in right hand corner of memorial, follow instructions & type in request to transfer, please put her name, Find A Grave # & what cemetery located in. I will in return transfer it to you immediately. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. If you need any more info on how to do this, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will help you any way I can. I work mostly in the Tuscola Cemetery as I live only 5 blocks from there. When I started almost 3 years ago, the Tuscola Cemetery only had 234 memorials listed in it. It has taken a lot of hours, a lot of searching old books, & a lot of help to get it to where it is today. Good luck in your search.
