Jeremiah Calhoun
Thank you so very much for posting the new picture of Jeremiah's tombstone (Find A Grave Memorial# 102789128). It clearly shows his name and regiment. I truly appreciate all the work you've done on his memorial as well as all of the others.

Girdler memorials,
Thank you for adding the picture's of Bob and Sue, they look good just like they are. Lonnie told me at my aunt Maudie Vaught's funeral when Alonzo and Opal were young they would take their children in the summer time and clean all the weeds from the West Cemetery located behind aunt Maudie's house, she would keep them in cool water and make sure everyone had something to eat. When I first started driving I took my mustang to show Maudie, Alonzo and Opal were visiting "Alonzo looked at the motor and said now you got your self a real car hope you can keep it in gas".

RE: Halcomb stone photos
Ok thanks, and I've searched the entire cemetery and couldn't find Goetha (Trinble) and Elizabeth Halcomb by the way.

RE: Halcomb stone photos
Your welcome, glad to help out anytime, yeah I also have some other requests that have not been fufilled yet. I found one other Humble family member that is also buried in Greenwood, Oma T. Humble (1877-1932), do you know her?

Juanita's memorial,
I'm going to see if her brother Lonnie minds if I make the transfer and make sure it's ok with Tim. After all this is Roy Frye's mother. If they are ok with it I'll transfer Juanita memorial to you. But most of the Girdlers I have listed were related to me long before Tim married my daughter so I prefer not to transfer my other family memorials, Just this one if Jennifer and Tim are ok with it. I'll let you know tomorrow. Also we gave Lonnie a book on the Girdlers my mother-in-law made, Roy may want to get some information from Lonnie's book.

Transfer request.
Hi Teresa, Juanita Girdler Frye Kallungi is my daughter's aunt, her husband is Tim, the son of Juanita's brother Lonnie (and Norma) Girdler. For this reason I would like to keep this one. Also my mother-in-law sends me information from time to time on the Girdlers in our family. Girdlers come into the Stone side of my family several times over the years. I hope you're not upset by my wanting to keep her memorial.

Uncle Estil was my grandfather's brother, but I know hardly anything about his family. If you are a descendant, I would like to know more about the descendants of Estil & Emma. Thanks.

Earnest "Bucky" Weddle,
After making the memorial for Bucky Weddle I saw the family pictures you added to his parents memorials. So I have transferred his memorial to you. Bucky and I were members of the same Lodge in Nancy. Cadmus,

Thanks for adding the great Obit! It is so clear and readable, I do not see any advantage to re-entering the text. Thanks again. Family looking for this person in the future will love the extra info.

Sharon Ford
father of George B Chumbley
Hi Teresa...I am a Chumbley descendant through Robert Chumbley and Elizabeth Ford in Claiborne County, TN. Numberous Chumbley/Chumley families were in KY and TN, and in combining research with others, we have identified/traced many of the lines related to us. However, there are a number of Chumbleys/Chumleys in KY and TN that are related to the John Chumley of Amelia Co., VA.

One of the major problems in researching the Chumbley/Chumley line is the duplication of given names, generation after generation, so it is very easy to get off track and research a non-related line.

Tonight, while working on the line of James Franklin Chumbley, b.abt 1833 (if I leave this screen to verify the date, I'll lose this message) in Ky, m. Lucy Frye in 1859. I discovered I had listed a son, Lewis, b. 1848. I find this questionable, but, not impossible, given that James Franklin would have been around 16. I have not found a marriage prior to the 1859 marriage. So,I unrelated this Lewis Chumbley from my line, until I can determine who his parents were. Many of his children's names are unfamiliar in the lines I'm researching. I am trying to trace this particular Lewis Chumbley through the records of his son, George B. Chumbley.

Do you have any information regarding the parents of Lewis Chumbley, father to George B. Chumbley. I would greatly appreciate any information you might have, to straighten out my confusion. Thanks.

I have eyesight problems, so it is much easier to receive messages through my regular email address, as I can greatly enlarge the size of the font. Please reply to: Thank you.
