I don't know where they are buried. He and all most of his brothers and sisters are buried together in Decatur Cemetery.

Robert Huie Photo
Would it be okay to use your photo of Robert Huie in publication (possible editing may be necessary for it to look right in the book)?

I have been working on a book about Hubbard’s Regiment for several years and looking to include photos of the soldiers. You will be cited as the source of the photo in the book.

Also, if you are a direct descendant, please let me know your relationship. I am including photos of descendants, so if you’d like your own photo included, please let me know.

Thank you for your time.

Wonderful addition to his bio. Thanks! Did you notice how many duplicates there are in this cemetery?

two Stubbs memorials
Hi, Kay, and thanks so much for telling me about the duplicate memorials. The other two memorials were actually the duplicates since I created mine earlier, but I deleted mine anyway. It looks as if the lady who has the two memorials really wants them, so I'd rather that she have them. Anyway, thanks for writing.

RE: Rambo Foster
I grew up in Lyerly, around the corner from the McLeod - Lee house, which is in Chattooga county. I now live out of Summerville, the county seat of Chattooga county. We lived near Athens, GA for about 29 years and moved back here in 2005. We are members to Lyerly Baptist Church, so I'm in Lyerly quite often.

My ancestors, the Dovers and Bryants, moved to Lyerly about the time of the land sale.

RE: Rambo Foster
Joe and Jan Pullen live in what folks around Lyerly refer to as the Lee house. I believe this was originally the McLeod house. It is on Railroad Street and was at one time a hotel (before my time). The Pullens have the house in fairly good condition. I bet there's a lot of upkeep on it though. There are no other houses on that street of the age to be the McLeod house.

No worry :) I will show it to his cousin who lives in Griffin and get final confirmation. He runs the Doc museum here.

RE: corrections
I am getting there, too. Do what you can while you can - then it will pass on to someone else. A memorial page is better in the hands of an older person than one who has vacated the pages added. By the way, this gal copied 1/2 of my tree from Ancestry, then uploaded it as her own. I found my father (and many more) with all the same wording, etc - so it was all copied - shame on her. I tried to contact her with no response - - of course !

You can ask for a transfer of the page into your care as well.

Yes, use the correction method - Findagrave will eventually correct it.

RE: Robert K Holliday
Findagrave will have to do that - they take over when a contributor dies or is no longer participating.

RE: Robert K Holliday
Linda Abbott, the person who added his page is no longer on findagrave and it has been that way for about at least 5 years now. Findagrave will eventually straighten out the mess if you tell them what needs to be done. Do this in an Edit from his page, then Suggest A Correction. Just keep checking back to see if they corrected the information you requested.

RE: Robert K Holliday
I cannot find what you wrote to me about. Cannot find either of these men on findagrave that I added. Please go to the correct page and send me an Edit and I will correct it. Please do not use the messages section to do corrections. Thanks.

RE: Miss Todie
Hi Kay, Thanks for pointing this out. I don't have management of Aunt Todies memorial but I have contacted the person that does and have asked her to change it. She has Todies brother William Benjamin listed as her father but has correct mother. I have lots of interesting things from mothers belongings that we are still going through. Birth and death certificates as well as some school and church records and marriage license. She had all the records from her mother and fathers side. She had a copy of the 1933 History of the Rock Baptist Church that has Rev. Bill Allison as Pastor, C. C. Adamson Clerk and W. E. Kyle as Treasurer. N. C. Adamson donated the land for the original church in 1889. Construction started in July 1889 and it was finished and dedicated in December, 1889. Hope all is well with you.

RE: Martiau message
Thanks for the nudge, Kay. I re-sent my message to Liz and also contacted find-a-grave so we'll see if I get any results. Meanwhile, I won't let myself overlook the problem again.

I'm sorry, Kay, I don't find any outstanding requests to a Liz who posted the Nicolas Martiau memorial. Can you give me more information?

Ezekial Cloud
So glad you found & posted his history.
I'm just plain Kay as well, and I'm told my grandpa was horrified when he thought my name was to be "K" - "just a letter of the alphabet!"
