I found a marriage record on Ancestry.com for a Sadie Elrod that married a Fred A. Elrod in April 1912 in Washington County, Indiana. It lists Fred's date of birth as Jan 1 1876.
I have all the Washington County marriage books at home, I'll double check this over the weekend.

Our daughter is Kathy Nelson and she works at Walmart. She has lived there for close to twenty years. We live in southwest Kansas and don't get to see them near as much was we would like.
