Little time for this
Sorry for slow correcting response. I hardly ever have the luxury of free time at a computer. I am lucky to keep lights on at the moment so internet is spotty. I transferred Robert Mckay to you.

Re: Orpha Blanche Oden Lacourt
I have transferred her to you for I believe she has no descendants & I want a relative to be able to maintain her memorial. If you do not want her memorial you may transfer back to me.

Re: John Guy Darby and Ina (Dailey) Darby.
Your source of the Family History book is wrong on Guy's birth & death. I have put his obituary on his memorial which has birth & death date. Gravestone also has birth year as 1878 not 1881. Beware of family history books they can be full of errors. I only use these books as a guideline to check for myself. A good one is one where they state all their sources. My husband's family has a family history book written in 1873 it is a good one because at the end it has a long list of sources which I checked & it is very accurate. The marriage date you sent is correct & Ina's information seems correct but the dates you sent me for Guy is totally wrong.

RE: Ephraim Overman (1754-1824)
Hi, "Cousin",
I descend through Hannah's sister Rachel Overman Haisley on my mom's side.
I guess that makes us 5th cousins?

But like you said, I bet we have a gazillion cousins who descended from Ephraim.

Re: Drapers & Daileys
I think I found it. It is not what you think but rather Drapers marrying into Daileys. Edna's cousin Warren (s/o James B & Mary (Knight) Draper) m. Cloie Daily cousin of her husband Charles Laverne Dailey. Warren's father James B. was a brother of Edna's father Richard.

Re: Edna (Draper) Dailey
Her parents are definitely Richard Harrison Draper & Virginia Ann Fulton
Obituary from the Thursday, July 5, 1956 Montpelier Herald newspaper, p. 4, col. 5: "ELLIS, Mrs. Clara Draper, 78, died Saturday (June 30)at home, 1303 Washington Street. Born in Miami County. Member of Blackford Methodist Church. Husband, Charles Ellis, died in 1948. Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Frank Kolyer, Mrs. Wm. Pence and Mrs. Georgia Crain; three sons, James, Lawrence and Paul; several grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Howard and Mrs. Edna Daily. Walker Chapel, Reverend H.J. Walker, Woodlawn Cemetery."

This Clara is a d/o Richard & Virginia. She died in Blackford Co. IN. Silvia (Draper) Howard (also a daughter) died in Boston,Wayne,IN Apr,1986. Both listed as daughters as well as Edna on the 1900 census with Richard (widower) in Jackson Twsp,Miami,IN. I am always willing to help others. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes is all you need to break a brick wall. I don't see any connection except the marriage of Edna to Charles LaVerne Dailey.

Re: Edna (Draper) Dailey
I believe she is the daughter of Richard Harrison Draper & Virginia Ann (Fulton) Draper. I looked at the 1900 census in Jackson Twsp,Miami Co. & there is a Edna Draper b. July,1886 listed as d/o Richard H. Draper, her mother & father Richard Harrison Draper 63980984 mother Virginia A (Fulton) Draper 63981041 Richard & Virginia were m. Apr,1873 in Wabash Co. The marriage has Harrison Draper & Virginia Ann Fulton.

RE: Agatha Marie (Lake) Parson Eardley
Yes, Aunt Aggie's brother's name was Creal Lake. The name appears that way on the Social Security Death Index (b. 5 Mar 1919, d. 5 Mar 2005). I also discovered that Creal married Leah Parson. Interesting!

Agatha Marie (Lake) Parson Eardley
Thank you for trying to help with this problem. Aggie was married to my uncle Gene Eardley. I knew her personally and she gave me her information for an Eardley genealogy I compiled. She is listed in the 1930 US Census with her parents, Otto and Samantha Lake. Samantha's maiden name was Turner and thus the confusion. Thanks again.

RE: Zenna Howell Jones
Yes, I noticed that name, assumed it was just a mistake, so many names were written as they sounded to the census taker. I have a wonderful pic of Zenna and Charles if you are interested.
We are sort of cousins by marriage.

Re: John Guy Darby and Ina (Dailey) Darby.
I do not transfer to non-direct relatives. 1st cousin, three times removed does not qualify as direct descent. I don't maintain son Darwin's memorial so therefore I cannot add link to parents. The person who maintains his memorial must add the link. I am sorry I cannot transfer but my intention is to only transfer to direct descendants (per what my bio states) & in this case they had children so there is most probably descendants. If you have additional information I will gladly add the information.

Good morning,

No, I am not related to her. One of the things that I do is I decorate graves at random and hers was one of the ones that I decorated. Have a wonderful day!

RE: Re: Martha (Byer) Oden
The marriage record is most likely a transcription error. You sometimes have to look for some very odd spellings of a surname to find what you are looking for. Boyer,Bayer,Bryer,Byer & so forth. I changed her maiden name to Boyer based on your knowledge of the family.
