Thank you the Cross family married into the Coward Cox Black families John is not a direct relative he married a cousin. I will be happy to take over any Cross families that are located in Anderson and Knox Co. I am working on a 'first families' project and trying to update them on find a grave.

Thank you so much for taking this photo of Thomas Low. The East Tennessee History Center is building a registry of the graves of the Civil War soldiers buried in East Tn. and having this photo helps to get Thomas Low on the registry.

Actually it was pretty easy. Fortunately, all of the national cemeteries have good documentation as to where they are buried. It took more time to drive down there than to find the stone. Plus, the weather was fantastic this morning.

I transferred the memorial to you. I happen to live near the Chattanooga National Cemetery. So, if I can get to it sometime soon, I'll try to get a photo of his parent's headstone.
