RE: Viola Mason Headstone
You are so welcome. I found Viola's Death Cert. on-line. Her maiden name was DENNEY. I've added a copy of the DC to her profile but pls let me know if you wish me to delete it, perhaps after you make a copy for your records.

RE: Irving S. Jenney (Sawyer)
Hi again Theresa,
Well it seems I am the one getting confused. It's the end of a long day. Your Maona would have been named after her mother's cousin. Anyway, I'm sure you'll get it figured out.

RE: Irving S. Jenney (Sawyer)
Hi Theresa,
Thank you for your kind words. I did work very hard on this particular memorial because of the sad circumstances and because there are descendants out there with the last name of Jenney, who should really be "Sawyers", and since discovering this, I really wanted to share it. You know how frustrating genealogical brick walls can be.
Anyway, it seems your Maona Mason was named after her father's (Almon) sister (Maona H. Jenney), the wife of my ancestor (Steven E. Sawyer). Maona, at just 19 years of age, in 1871, died giving birth to their son Irving. Just 2 years later, your Maona Mason was born and they named her after her cousin.
I would not actually be related to the Jenneys except by Stevens marriage to Maona, but the Jenneys and the Sawyers had farms in Leicester right across the road from each other, and of course there are many Jenneys and many Sawyers in the Leicester cemetery.
I hope this wasn't completely confusing. Sometimes it's a challenge to make it all clear. Please feel free to ask questions if need be.
Michael Sawyer

Hi Theresa, no, we are not related, however I am addicted to Find A Grave! I don't remember where I found her photo, I hope you are pleased with it. My friend Robert will be glad to transfer Katherine to you if you like, just ask.

Hi There! I have no yet found a stone for Boaz Mason in the Utica Cemetery and I definitely didn't find one next to them or I would have included that so far. I will keep looking and take another look nearby the next time I go this week :)

As for your aunt's memorial no problem! I will just transfer to you and you can make the changes :)

RE: Almon Jenney
Thanks for writing, Theresa. We do share in common Samuel Jenney, son of immigrant John Jenney, but you are descended from John, a son by Samuel's first wife Susanna Woods; I'm a descendant of Lettice by Samuel's second wife, Anne Lettice. Do you have the Jenney Book? Let me know if you need more info.
