The photo I posted may not be the one you want. William is in a different location and I will be going up to Woodlawn again soon. I do have the location of his grave and hopefully I will find a stone for him there.

RE: Lemuel German gravesite
You are welcome. There are no headstones on the lot at all. In addition to Lemuel's wife, more interments are recorded there but there is not even evidence of broken stones in the area. ~Cheers

Thanks for the information. I just took over management for this memorial. If you can supply sources for Anna's parents that'd help tremendously.

Thanks

Marian, et al
I'm sorry to have to tell you that neither Marian nor her children have markers. The burial site is plainly marked, so there is no mistake. It's not unusual for there to be no marker, but i had hoped for at least one of the three. i'll post a photo of the site on her memorial, unless you don't want it there. Are you going to do memorials for the other two, as well?

M. Miller
There are (almost literally) a bazillion Millers in Cave Hill, so it's hard to know who is related to whom, but buried in the same Lot with Marian are:

William H d1899
MacGoniGale "child of Miller" d1908

They are all buried in Section P, Lot 771

To make it easier for me to load the pictures later (i do a lot of these), please add requests for them and i'll get there in a day or two and get photos. Hopefully, they will have tombstones and readable ones, at that.

Oh, i have Marian's death certificate, if you don't have it and do want it.

I didn't even look at her memorial, but rather did everything from the request listing. Once upon a time, Find A Grave sent me request emails, with all the info included, but there is now a mix-up and they will not repsond to a help request. Anyway, just so you know, Cave Hill has

Because many people think those two cemeteries are one in the same and duplicate memorials are placed in both just to cover it I guess.

RE: McIntyre Settlement
Hello again - sorry it's been quite a while since I received your message regarding the McAdams' graves, but it was much appreciated! I actually live almost an hour or so south of the cemetery, but am also in and out of Ithaca and environs a few times a month. I haven't yet had a chance to work in another visit to the cemetery on my way to/from, but hope to sometime soon. And certainly if I ever have a significant block of time when I could stop there for a while, I'll be sure to bring my big boots and clippers...!

The rest of Juliette McAdams' family by marriage is not buried at McIntyre, so I don't know if you'd be able to link anything else to her record? But her husband was George W. Rogers (b. 1842 in Hector), son of John Morris Rogers and Ann Carpenter. I haven't found any death or buriel records for George, but most of the rest of the Rogers family is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Catherine. Juliette and George had two daughters: Cora E. Rogers, b. 1863, who married Aaron Miller Martin. They're both buried in Hector Union Cemetery. The second daughter was my great-grandmother: Rosetta "Rose" Rogers, b. 1865, who married Morgan L. Smith, and moved to Michigan. After Morgan's death in 1901, she remarried (James Sheridan), and is buried in Old Hope Cemetery in Hope, Midland County.

McIntyre Settlement
Greetings. I just today noticed your photographs from the McIntyre Settlement Cemetery; I'm related to the McAdams family buried there (Juliette was my great-great-grandmother). Since I live in the Finger Lakes region, I visited the cemetery in the summer of 2011; but at that time it was so untended and overgrown that it was nearly impossible to navigate, let alone find the individual graves I was looking for. I notice that your photos were posted in February of 2012 - were they taken long before that? i.e., is it possible some minor work was done to the cemetery area in the six months after my visit? Or are you just really good at finding such things in a maze of underbrush?! Either way, I'd be interested to know if you have any minimal directions you could share regarding exactly where in the cemetery their stones are located? I've been wanting to make another trip back there (perhaps in a season when there is less live growth!), and would love to have a more specific idea of where to look! Thanks for listening.
