RE: picture
No but you might check with the Anadarko Community Library in Anadarko, OK. They might have it. Lillian

The dates on the stone are legible if you enlarge the photo to it's full resolution, though hers are somewhat blocked by grass. I will take an additional picture on my next trip out, however.

Jacob Sronce 85102190
The Jacob you referred to was 30 when he went into Civil War. He died 2 Jan 1862 in Camp Fisher, Montclair, Virginia, USA.

The Jacob 85102190 was born about 15 years earlier, so they are different people. Pvt, Company G, 6th North Carolina Infantry Regiment, died at Camp Fisher.

Harris in Hays
"Rueben's picture is very hard to read with the flag shadows."

Sorry for the shadows. If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you can make out all of the information. It is the same info as is on the memorial page. The dates match. I checked that. I did not want to remove the flag for fear that I wouldn't be able to get it back into the ground (more like concrete here since we have had very little rain). Also, I didn't want to disturb the flowers someone had kindly placed near his marker.

I'll try to remember to go back later in the summer to see if Alice's stone has arrived. I will retake the photo for Ruben with perhaps less shadow (I'll try not to go in the a.m.).

I walked the cemetery and took pictures. You will have to get someone local to give you that information. The stone is there. It is on the backside of another, I believe. I can't help you, since I now live in Utah.

RE: Genealogy
Yes. Originally married to a man named Miles. I would have to dig a bit to find his first name.

Adell Ina Katt
Sorry for not adding pics to Adell's page yesterday. I normally do that when I see a spouse is on the same stone but was so tired yesterday when I got home I missed it this time.
Anyway, if I put too many pictures let me know and I will delete any you don't want.

Marker Surnames
ly toI am Confused, Nancy married Henry Dougherty, her headstone shows Daugherty, I have found several headstones to be wrong. Do you have other Documentation showing the correct spelling of the name?
Thank You
The names are spelled exactly as they are on the markers.
Hers: Daugherty
His: Dougherty
Look at photo 3 of each memorial. There does not need to be documentation per FAQ's under naming conventions.
Last Name
Last Name as you would find it on the tombstone, if the interred had more than one marriage or other possible spellings please place this information in the bio and use the family links. Do not include honorary or other suffixes in the Last Name field.
On a more personal level, in my genealogy studies of my own family I have found many various spellings of quite a few surnames and neither can be said to be more correct than the other. I was always told that back then people were more concerned with surviving.

Velma (Sprague) McGuire #46380321
Want to let you know that I don't usually follow any of the relationship guidelines so I have no problem xferring Velma to you (and for that matter her father also).

But I cannot add the mother link (Katherine) that you asked to be linked to Velma. Katherine was Velma's step-mother.

Alice Dolly (Lacey) is Velma's mother, but I have not found her resting place. Therefore Velma's mother relationship will have to remain blank until Alice is found.

Send me a note (via the edit tab) and I will go ahead and xfer Velma and her father, Leslie.

Beaver vs Beever
There were several Beevers with duplicate memorials in New Lexington cemetery. I notified the people maintaining them about the matter. Most have them have been deleted under the name of Beaver. They exist under the spelling of Beever which matches the spelling on the markers.

RE: Louis Beckman Headstone
Mary P Beckman is listed as being buried in Florida Hills. Usually when I photograph a Veteran's headstone I take a photo of the spouse's headstone as well,. The fact that I did not photograph it may mean her date of death had not been ingraved on the stone. Next time I am at the cemetery I will try to find the headstone.
