Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoy it so much for what you went through.
My mom died when I was four and I remember going to the cemetery to visit her resting place and had no idea that I was related to so many people buried there. I knew of a handful but no where near as many as there are. I can't wait to get back there again.
Thanks again for all of your effort, it means so much to me.

|Lesley K. Cafarelli||RE: Nathaniel Wilcox|
Thanks, Rebecca. The stone is, indeed, hard to read due to the lichen, as well as the wear on it. If there's any way you could try for sharper shadows on the carving--perhaps it requires some lighting trick--and brushing the lichen off the carving, as long as it doesn't take the stone with it.
Since you're spending more time in the Hamden Cemetery, I should check to see if there might be others from my husband's family tree there. I'm looking for more Wilcoxes, McClenahans, Culys, Craigs, Clarks, . . . Some are in Vinton, I think.

I must have hit the send button before I was ready. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you so much for getting all of the photos that you did at the Hamden Cemetery. I have had these on my wish list for a while and wasn't sure when I would get them and what a thrill it was to get so many photos at once! You really made my day! Thanks again!

Hi, Rebecca. Thanks so much for photographing this gravestone in Hamden Cemetery. I think this is a younger brother of my husband's 2nd great grandfather, Joseph Wilcox, but I have to do more hunting to make sure I have the right person. I'm very grateful to folks like you who help researchers like me visualize the history behind the names and dates we gather from places at a distance.
