RE: Roy Anderson
I don't know how Roy came to be in Illinois. Maybe the obituary will shed light. Perhaps his wife Alfia had relatives there. I just saw that her mother Bertha Ahlstrom's obituary is also listed in the index at the library. I don't know what her maiden name was.

RE: Samuel Pope b. 1841 Wells Maine
If it is not too much trouble I would greatly appreciate it. I saw that you had some information about him on the MyHeritage site and it looked to be him, but I could not see all of the information that you had. It would be great if you could send that to me.

The Samuel Pope that I am looking for was born around 1800-1801 in Wells, Maine. I think his mother was named "Mary". He died in Conwayborough, S.C. in 1863.

Thanks

Yes, I would like you to transfer Adkins M, Adkins Burnel, & Eda Casey.

I hadn't seen Sophia Doring Casey's obituary before. Thanks. The daughter summoned from NY was Edna (the 1st born). I am glad she was at her mother's side.

Thank you very much.

Thanks Dorie , that would be very nice.

Have you come across the graves of Adkins M Casey(1864-1956), & family?

I see 82% of Lakeside Cemetery is complete so maybe his family plot is in the next 18%.

You have done a tremendous job. Someday I will visit the cemetery.

Thanks, Pam

Thank you for the posts of these plots found in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville,IL. I have added some family photos to your Memorials. I just happened to be organizing my photos and those on my ancestry.com tree this evening. Ironic, your Memorials were created 4 Jan 2014 & today is 4 Jan 2015.

The last 34 acres of the Casey homestead on North Milwaukee Ave have become part of the "Liberty Praire Conservacy" complete with the "Casey Trail".

Thank you for your dedication and care for those that have gone before us.

2nd great grand daughter of E S E Casey & Deborah Peterson Casey.

Hi Dorie,

I am not related. A dear friend of mine is, and I am transferring the management of that memorial to her. It is a fascinating family you belong to!

Hi,
That's fine. I just like to get the parents and multiple spouses in. Especially when the spouses aren't in the name. It's just so all the relatives can trace their relatives. Thanks, Kathy

RE: Henry William Meier d1939
Thank you for all the information so far. My daughter has a public tree on ancestry named Helmholz under the same username of evebrown63 where we have information on some Meiers. That is how where came across the hint for find a grave. Do you have a tree on ancestry or other site? We have enjoyed seeing the old photos since we don't have many from Ann's childhood or family.

RE: Henry William Meier d1939
Hi Dorie,

I appreciate so much your getting back to me. I thought William Meier had 2 wives - Louisa Triesch and Anna Freytag. I appreciate knowing about your great great grandmother.

Would you please let me know if Emma lived in California? My Dad, Bob, mentioned traveling to California with Anne and Walter, and visiting a cousin named "Emma". The way he talked - this visit was probably in the 30's or 40's.

I am pretty good on dates because I started working on this when Bob was alive and able to contribute. I've also been to all the cemeteries in Cincinnati, and can send you some pictures if needed.

I was so excited to see a picture of William Meier. My father did not have one and said Anne did not save anything. I have contacted a Meier cousin in Cincinnati where I live, Shirley Davies, who is Henry (Bud's) daughter. She said also the Meier's did not save anything.

Thanks again,

Kim

MEIER genealogy
Dorie,

I've been following your correspondence with Findagrave member Kim Helmholtz Strubbe regarding your MEIER genealogy.

If you have more genealogical information on the MEIER lineages (i.e.- dates/places of birth/death, names of spouses, children, etc.), especially your great-great grandmother Emma Stump Meier & your great-grandmother Emma Meier Watkins, please pass it along to me at: jmanc@netzero.net.

As previously mentioned, I'm helping my neighbor Marsha Meier (a descendant of your great-great granduncle John Henry Meier (1869-1916) of Cincinnati, Ohio), discover her ancestors.

Thanks in advance for your help.--- Jeff Mancini.

RE: Meier information
Hi Dorie,

I've been helping my neighbor, Marsha Meier, research her MEIER genealogy at local Cincinnati cemeteries over the last several months. Lots of ancestors & their headstones are still waiting to be rediscovered. Judging by the size of some of the monuments, MEIER ancestors must have been relatively affluent.

I'll pass along any other relevant information that Marsha & I stumble upon during our genealogy quest. --- Jeff Mancini (Cincinnati, Ohio)

Henry William Meier d1939
Hi!

I am Kim Helmholz Strubbe, daughter of Robert Helmholz. Henry Meier was my great grandfather. Would you please let me know if you have any other information? I have part of the Meier family on my Helmholz family tree.

I have only 2 pictures of Anne Meier Helmholz when she was young and am interested in if you have more.

Thanks - I hope to hear from you.
