ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one entombed there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Peter Hite
On the same marker, there is the name Edna Hite, I'm guessing this is Peter's wife. If you would like this photo, create a memorial and I'll post it.

The date on the marker is 1984 - 1936.

Let me know when you are ready for me to post.

Yes, it is ... however, let Memorial Owner know, as reflected on the grave marker, first name is "Alden" instead of "Allen" ... DOB and DOD confirms

How can I ever thank you, my friend! We left Oklahoma without taking a photo of Colleen's burial site. Knowing that you did this for us, touches my heart. Thank you so much!

RE: Katherine B Mooring
I didn't find a transfer request in my e-mail for her. If you will make all your requests for transfer and correction through the "Edit" then "Suggest a correction" buttons on the person's memorial, I will do that for you. Oh, and I'm sorry for the delay. We've had issues and crisis come up the last few months and I have gotten behind in my requests.

Thanks
Pam

RE: David Kenneth Leigh
I added David to his memorial. Please make sure you include a link to the memorial that you want corrected. I manage 10's of thousands of memorials and it doesn't always click in my mind that you might be talking about Fairlawn Cemetery.

Thanks

RE: Katherine B Mooring
The dates that you see for Katherine might have been typed in incorrectly by DonZas. When he passed away, I took over his local memorials.

I will change the date for you on Katherine B. Mooring's memorial.

Thanks

Memorial for Peter Slater
Dear Michele,

You found the memorial for Peter Slater for me when no one else was able to.

I was wondering, if, when the next time you go to the cemetery, that you would be so kind to ask the cemetery for a copy of the burial records? It would give me the complete information on him.

I WOULD SO MUCH APPRECIATE IT.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
I am adding my email address so that you might attach the page in an email if you are able to do it.

Sincerely

Thank you so much for the photo of the grave of Mina Sharp Bilyeu. She died so young, and I was afraid that there was no marker--so many do not have one. thanks again, so much--Loneta Boyer

Thanks so much for all the effort you took to provide Rolla's memorial with photos of his grave site! It is always so sad when there is no marker and I appreciate you placing the cross on his plot when you took the photo. I know this took extra time on your part since the site was not marked and your appointment was changed; I appreciate that you stuck with it until you got me the information I requested.

Sarah Back Linden
Thank you so much for taking the nice photo of her grave. She was the sister of my great, great grandfather. She was born and raised in Kentucky. She married David Linden, and they headed to Oklahoma with two infants in 1885. They had six children and lived in Morrison. He was a real estate agent. His office was on 3rd Street. One day, David's brother Logan died--he lived back in KY. His widow Katherine came out to OK to visit David and his family. This was in the summer or fall of 1920. Soon, David and her had an affair. So Sarah filed for divorce. It was granted in Feb. of 1921. David and Katherine left OK and moved to CA. Sarah spent the last 18 years of her life living with her children in OK. Curiously...around 1894, Sarah and David had a daughter Ida who died at age 4. She is also buried here. David then bought plots there for himself and Sarah, as well as two extra plots. Sarah is buried in hers, and two of their sons are buried in the other two. But David's is empty--he was buried in CA.

RE: Rowland Campbell
Thank you for your persistence and for keeping me informed! I really appreciate your follow-up. If you do manage to locate the plot and can take a photo (even if there is no marker perhaps you can indicate where it is with a flag or some other object?) and load it to the memorial page that will be great. Also, if you can load a view photo of the cemetery showing the site in its location, I always enjoy the visual. Thanks again. Happy hunting...
