Looking for location of the bible in 2015. Also, there was a book supposed to be written by Stephanie Wolfley-Mitchell who was his descendant.

DAR has closed the once accepted application for Maria Eva. I am wanting to get her reinstated.

I am a descendant of Adam thru his son Christian who moved to Greene Co. TN.

Battle of Flodden

I saw that you have lot of info on the Gerard family dating back all the way to the late middle ages. With sir Thomas Gerard who supposedly died in 1523, it is mentioned that he died at the battle of Flodden in Northumberland in november of 1523. However, the actually battle of flodden took place in 1513, in September 10 years earlier. I am greatful for your research/information, but I think something isn't right.

I received an email from someone overseeing
McGraw Cemetery and I was told the Plat Records
Book for this cemetery has never been located,
or that it was kept in a shed on the grounds,
and the shed burned down with the records book.

Posting this for others information.

RE: Marguerite Guenther
That is sad to hear she died on her honeymoon. Would love to see the picture of her. Can you email it to me? My email is Thanks for sharing the information you have about her.

RE: Marguerite Guenther
The dates do match exactly. I was unable to find a death certificate for Marguerite using the Oelkers name. But, that doesn't mean it could not be her. I would say yes it is Marguerite the daughter of Charles Frederick Guenther. Thanks for asking.

RE: Finch Family
From what I have seen we both descend from William "Billy" Finch.
Has there been any DNA testing on our family. Have an uncle that has just done the test and would like to check it with others.
My line is William ; Roberts; George Washington born 1860; Clarence Church Finch.
Would like to share info.

A few years back was in contact with Arthur Finch in Mississippi' lost contact when e-mail crashed. He line is William; John Washington, George Washington born 1844; Felix Braxton; Arthur Gordon; Arthur Gordon Jr. born 1932.

Have a great day,

John Elson French
He is my direct line ancestor through Josiah Clifton and Sarah Jane his daughter. I have been in contact a few years ago with the DeWitt County Historical Society or Genealogy Society member who kinda oversees the McGraw Cemetery. (I would have to refer back to the email to figure that out) Asking why they removed John Elson French a Revolutionary War Soldier from records as being buried there.
She sent me an email back and told me because he no longer has a headstone. She did not know if he ever had a headstone. But the cemetery had under went a series of vandals from high school children of the area and much was lost in that cemetery.
No one no longer knows where he is buried within that cemetery.
Personally I do not see that as a reason to remove his name from the burial list there. When there is proof in his pension records that he is buried there. Wanted to get this information out there.

Help with what you need
as a descendant of the John Elson French line, I enjoyed reading information you and others have posted. However I was reading that you were having problems with getting information on pages of ancestors... whether direct or distantly direct.
You can send an email to creators of Find A Gave, let them you have no response from the people who have added your ancestor and if you are closely related enough, they will consider transferring management of the page to you.
