Mary S Nokes
There is a Mary S Nokes (1879-1957) (61176934) buried in New Chapel Cemetery in Itawamba County. There are no other Nokes in New Chapel, Itawamba County, or even in the surrounding counties. I don't know if Nokes is her maiden or married name. I can find nothing on her at Ancestry.com. Would you have any idea who she is and how I can connect her to parents, spouse, etc. ?

Transferred these to you today. Sorry for delay. I am trying to complete photo on each cemetery before doing many transfers but can see that you are upkeeping your family so perhaps these will be useful.

I was at the cemetery briefly today. I will look for your grandmother's grave this weekend. If there is not a headstone, I will at least send you a message to let you know.

Thank you for looking for the headstone. Possibly may not be one, even though his death cert. shows that he is buried there. His first wife is buried there also.

Info added
I passed on your request to the memorial owner to link 34837189 to 72396202 and 72396242. It may or may not happen in quick order. She is slow to respond. Please check that you send complete memorial numbers in the future. Since you sent the name of James Luther Pope I was able to find him for linking. Also there is no Near Forest, NM. I assume you meant Forrest, NM, so I entered that. If that's not correct, let me know.

For the following reasons, I will keep possession of this memorial for now, but I will be happy to enter any info you provide.

A new project is being undertaken at Dreamland Cemetery, Randall County, Texas. Between myself and the cemetery manager, we are attempting to update all cemetery information and we are using Find a Grave as our data base. As such, we can use all the help from you people who have entered memorials or photos for Dreamland Cemetery by responding as quickly as possible to requests from us on additions, changes or deletions of your memorials. Let's continue in the spirit in which Find a Grave was established by joining in this project.

Thanks, Dick
